Yeah, this thread is focusing on the PC version of BF:BC2. That tends to be the way with THN.

I guess you're on the 360...?

Oh well. I have BT:BC2 on my PS3 and it is awesome...
ps. I only have it on my ps3 because my PC is not up for the challenge.

Created a Battlefield group for those interested.
Link is here

Dont take this as a complaint, its just that as a grp when while owning the older ones we only play the latest(and occasionally the others) this could be confusing, as i do not understand how groups work is there a futher distinction of who has what?

Can anyone create groups?

There are a few different kinds of groups that can be created for vBulletin. The ones that SwampFae is using are called Social Groups. Anyone can create a Social Group, though I have a memory that you can only create 5 or something (though this is a configurable limit).

Social Groups can come with discussions, which are a bit like a forum but crap. Discussions can, if you have enough members in the Social Group (4, I think) can be converted to a Social Forum that works pretty much like any other forum on this board. With enough members, the group leader can create the forum but it takes an Administrator to convert existing discussions into forum threads.

Basically, start threads instead of groups? :p

Not quite. Social Groups provide a cheap/easy way to create semi-private areas for discussion. For example, they might be a way to create mini clan channels. Also, Social Forums (spawned from Social Groups) create a way to group a collection of threads under a common banner, rather than having a set of unrelated general threads. Finally, Social Groups can make it easier to figure out who is actually interested in a particular thing, where threads give no indication of the silent readers that sit behind them.

For anything heavy-weight, though (EVE, WoW, etc), it's probably better to manage that differently.
