Does anyone play bf2 anymore? I'm rather new to it and it's all my computer can run basically.

Well i dont play it anymore but get the Project Reality MOD thats wot most people on THN play now.
Its over and done with for me Im afraid. I did put in over a 1000 hours into the bloody thing, and dont regret a second of it. But then WoW came along..... And I think I have played it for about 10 hours since.
IMO its still the greatest shooter of all time, and I still think there are plenty of full 16/32/64 player servers out there to go fragging on.

We run our own THN Project Reality server, which you can easily find when you search for servers in the mod. We had a pretty open discussion about what maps should be put on the rotation, and the server admins and operators will always listen to ideas from the community.
As for BF2 itself, few people still play it unfortunately. If you grab yourself a copy of XFire, and add some people from THN on (including myself!), then a few of us are usually up for BF2 every now and then. I personally love it just for the planes, but if you want someone to ground pound with you, I'm more then happy to come along and get you interested in the THN community a bit more!
Also, don't forget to join in some Usergroups. Go to your User CP (top left of the Blue2 theme), then go to Group Memberships (or use that handy link!), and join some of the public groups. Most of the private groups are for specific things, but if you feel you would like to be part of one of them, talk to one or more of the group admins

Lol, you make the date and I'll be there, but the time zones plus my commitments are going to be a HUGE problem, as I live in Australia (+10 GMT)

Well, I'm at uni with 4 projects due in 5 weeks, g/f and other stuff, but if it means getting a new face into THN, I'm up for playing! The problem is really gonna be the lag, unfortunately. Even getting a server between the two of us, we'll likely have pings of 300+ (tried it before with a mate from Australia), and it ain't pretty
That being said, I'm still up for trying! If you're willing to do a morning sometime (say, 8am?), then that's only 10pm for me, and I'm happy for play for an hour or so
