This has touched down on my steam list now.

Will report to see if any of the bugs are fixed etc.

Hopefully it is compatible with DE Ed, when we run a new league in the very near future, the variety of teams is expanded.

Yeah, compatibility is the thing I'm most interested in. I note that there was a Blood Bowl: DE edition update just the other day. Not sure what that did, though.

I grabbed this this morning, off to work in a minute but might get some time this arvo to test out backwards compat. The fact that owners of previous games got a discount AND that it was a small install sugests to me it is similar to Dawn of War II's expansion, where players of the core game can play MP with the expansion content but not use it.

Downloading it now. Played it at games day and was really impressed with the refinements made to the game, particularly to do with explaination of events (who rolled what, why that happened etc). There were a lot of other subtle changes that i think were for the better.

Loaded it up and played a few games and can say that its pretty good. Some of the extra races are brilliantly done (especially the vamps wearing shades). While the new races are funny none of them strike me as overpowered though i guess you need to fight a human opponent multiple times to make that judgement.

In terms of the next BB league i think we'll stick to the DE edition until compatability issues are explored

The Khemri are OP. all you need is on throw-ra, a couple of blitz-ra, and the 4 tomb guardians (Mummies) and you can own face very early on. I think the Khemri teams have been either the winners or runners up in the past few gencon tournaments.

Traditionally, Vampires and Lizardmen have been the hardest teams to face in tabletop bloodbowl, id imagine this will translate into the new edition of the game.

Don't forget Ogres. Those guys were so OP it hurt.

To a degree, their reliance on snotlings means any team with even a bit of punch can cripple their goal scoring ability. Likewise any team good at lining up and blocking can interfere with them throwing the snotlings with the ball towards the touch line.
