The Khemri are OP. all you need is on throw-ra, a couple of blitz-ra, and the 4 tomb guardians (Mummies) and you can own face very early on. I think the Khemri teams have been either the winners or runners up in the past few gencon tournaments.

Come on guys, this is just cack.

Here's the ranking for top NAF players:

http://www.thenaf.net/index.php?module=NAF&type=rankings

I assume you can see that.

The top 50 is dominated by wood elves(unsurprisingly) and undead, with a spattering of other teams.

To clarify, the way the NAF ranks people, you have a different rank for each different race.

That list:

Undead: 17
Wood Elves: 7
Amazon: 5
Dark Elves: 2
Elves: 1
Khemri: 2
Orc: 3
Skaven: 4
Dwarves: 2
Necromantic: 1
Lizardmen: 2
Norse: 2

That's only 48 but I couldn't be bothered to find who I'd missed...

The wood elves and amazons are what I would call 'top heavy' on the list, lots of them near the top, and fewer further down. Amazons are, like dwarves and norse, a tremendously powerful early team, and for these reasons, their rankings on the NAF board due to be slightly inflated, due to their increased proportional strength in the common 'resurrection' tournament type favoured by the NAF.

They haven't exactly upped the AI in LE...

I've been enjoying messing around with the Necromantic team in LE. I think the Undead will be unsatisfactorarily easy for me to use, though arguably the same could be said of orcs (though I don't necessarily agree).

They really suffer against speedier teams though. Not much high strength or block on the board to start wih, and no one with starting access to ball handling skills, and only 4 players starting on AG 3 (rest are 2). Should prove a challenge against humans.

I'm playing undead as we speak, and boy are they awesome. The 4 ghouls can play the running and throwing game with their 7/3/3/7 statblock. The skellies and zombies are kinda naff, but with a mixture of them you can set up blocks and tackle larger enemies. The mummies you have to save to take down black orcs, trolls, ogres etc. Finally the whights seem to be your general all-rounders. I have one now who is as agile as and fast as a ghoul, the toughest guy on my team, and the second strongest next to the mummy.

I think they're the de facto choice for powergamers and rookies. The ghouls provide speed and flexibility, along with wights, whilst the mummies are packing the punch. Zombies and skeletons provide cheap linemen types.

You also don't have to worry about injuries very much, as only the ghouls lack regenerate.

Meanwhile, I am enjoying milking snotlings for SPPs. You punch them and the green numbers start flying out like rings when sonic falls on a spike. 2 games against them provided most of the spp to skill ap about half my team to Level 2 or 3.

Granted, against the AI, but in 4 games played, ive won 3 2-0 and had a 1-1 draw. 2 games 2 2-0 wins vs ogres, a 2-0 win vs Khemri and a 1-1 draw vs amazons.

I guess the scores aren't really the key thing here, but in my opinion, Amazons are quite quick to skill up, due to team wide mobility (all players start with dodge), and have the ability to easily put an awful number of blodgers (block+dodge) on the pitch very quickly.

THis can make them a real handful, as you can only rarely knock them over.

That would stink. I'll stand by something I said earlier, then: we'll play with whatever version means more of us play.
