BF: What am I missing?

I'm going to absolutely hate myself for saying this, but maybe MW3 is more your cup of tea

I dunno, I hated counter strike.

I don't particularlry want to play alone, either. Quite the opposite. I'd like a team I can rely on so that I don't have to be looking 360 degrees around the whole time (since I get shot in the ass so much).

I'm covering one entrance whilst we cap, other dude covers another. Was attempting to do this in publics last night but more oft than not team members just failed or f**ked off and I can't cover all entrances by myself.

Did manage to do a *little* better in bazaar one one match using the "fire before you get into their view" tactic so thanks for that one. Ultimately though I'm getting worse and worse as others apparently get better. Thought the words "better" and "worse" are subjective when you're shot from behind without chance for retaliation.

Another question for yourself, do you tend to play on 32 or 64 player servers?
If the latter is true I'd suggest trying out some 32 player or even some small TDM servers.
The reason for this as it will force you to infantry ground and pound, your positional stuff will improve and it will improve your BF twitch. You are always going to get shot in the arse, that is inevitable. What you can do is reduce the amount it happens and also take some fuckers down with you.

TDM can actually help with knowing when to move and when to hold in a position as well as you spawn in a more random manner and the whole thing is much freer. I wouldn't do too much of it as it does get a bit CoD like but it will improve your twitch to get your gun up and get the opponent down.

I much prefer 32/48 player for the most part, it is much easier to keep tabs of where everyone is. If you are really struggling with getting shot in the arse then 32 player on large conquest (non-vehicle) maps can be a great way to improve. Rather than popping your head round the corner and getting shot at by 10 people you tend to see 3-4 which can be more manageable.

Metro rush 32 player is probably the highest SPM mode in the game.

Hmm, I don't think I got any points last time I played that.

Anyway news update, I have stopped giving a shit about score and points and last night just played without fear. Two matches got utterly pwned, but then started to get better and by end of night was getting more kills than deaths.

I'm guessing headshots from machine guns kill instantly? Cos a couple of toe to toe matches I died in one shot which puzzled me cos they had like 75% health left. I need to learn to aim higher.

That aside my main contributions were ressing people I think.

Oh and I tried to join bloke etc but our server was full. :p

hitboxes aren't what you think they are ... you can get a headshot by shooting someone in the nuts with a shotgun.

I shot someone with a shotgun at near point blank range with their torso in my centre, they span around and killed me. o.o;
