EA can go fuck themselves if they think I'm going to willingly install spyware. Especially if the ads they are going to send me are coming from some obscure country somewhere and are going to slow my net connection down. It's a shame really as I was going to get this...
[mod]I've merged the 2142 spyware post from "Games Chat" back into "Battlefield". Whilst I can appreciate that you are only trying to spread the news I think that it's best to keep things tidy by not double posting. Cheers[/mod]
Hmmm I may buy this if the "spyware" in question is only running when the game is running. If this is something that is going to start-up on my system every time I boot (and if not, no gameplay) then EA can forget it...
I've only seen one level with billboards and adverts so far, and I couldn't even figure out what they were for! Still, I spent a long time looking at them, just for EA .
Its not really spy ware, all it does is monitor which adverts you stare at ingame, and then it reports back, and the ads you recieve in the future are sort of related "I think".
Besides when did you last complain to the council about billboards?
Neither are EA. They're charging you to play the game. They just saw a sneaky opportunity to make a ton of extra cash from other companies while they're at it. I don't like the fact that they've done it, but can't fault the decision from a purely business sense
