Blood Bowl L2 Week 11

I'll finish this season off before taking great pleasure in deleting the Lizardmen. I'll have to think what team to use in any future league.

My prediction is that Ski will win 1-0 in a brutal game that will leave both the coffin dodgers and the bast4rds in tatters causing an upset in the finals as both players don't have the bodies to make the difference.

My money has been on Ski to take the title since week one and nothing has happened to change my mind on that. However anything can happen in BB and we are getting ahead of ourselves. Plenty of matches still to play.

This sounds about right. I also don't much fancy the idea of playing you two weeks in a row, if we both qualify for playoffs...

Was this the week one where I hit Agamemnon so hard he cried out of the league, or the week one where velaphor beat me to a bloody pulp handing me my ass and a 2-1 loss?

Well, that was a brutal game for the Wood Elves with Storm Heroes causing no less than 5 injuries through the game, one taking an Elven linesman out for the next game. The Heroes almost lost a Linesman themselves but swift attention from the apothecary brought him back from the dead.

Fast legs and some smooth dump off moves took Huung's Hoppers to an early 1-0 lead but it was all uphill from there. The Heroes put Elves down all over the pitch and pulled the score level by half time, despite some epic attempts to put the Heroes' quarterback on the floor.

The second half was largely dominated by the Heroes, though not everything went their way with a heavily understrength Hoppers making best use of their Elven agility and getting to the ball even under extreme duress. Unfortunately, worn from the beating they'd already taken they'd often be on the floor before they could actually put the ball carrier down.

Final score: 3-1 to the Heroes with a neat chain pass from the Heroes backfield to the waiting hands of Dutch the Blitzer to put the final touchdown home as the whistle blew.

Good game with a 19 rating. If only the Hoppers had been just a little tougher then their scary dump-off tactic could have made that game quite different.

Really good game, another one where the outcome was decided on skill, and not dice. First time I've played against a human team, and for the "generic" team of the game they can certainly pack a punch in the right hands. The chain hand-off and pass for the final turn touchdown couldn't have been played better by the welves themselves.
That I had to use the dump-off tactic at all was a testament to Ronin's ability to close me down very quickly, and stop me from leaping all over the place (NOTE: leaping is bad, wardancers have injured themselves too many times failing leaps).

TWO linesmen out for the next game, thankfully both skillless bottom feeders, so I'm at (practically) full strength for the slaughter next week :D
