Welcome to week 8 of the THN Blood Bowl League numero 2!

Now in the downhill stretch but there's still plenty of weeks to go. Fortunes can still be made or broken in the remaining games. Keep up the good work and let's see who survives to the semi-finals... :eek:

Just past the league halfway mark, the players and teams are largely finding their niche in the tables. The star players are unsurprisingly elves and dwarves with a couple of werewolves in there too and, no surprises either, those same elves and dwarves are also the top scorers: Daugorathion Vanval of Trax's Twerps has the Elf Weekly seal of approval, while Butrekson of bobrek's Bast4rds leads the table with 9 touchdowns this season.

Elves dominate the air game, which is no surprise, with Huung's Hoppers and Trax's Twerps filling the top slots: Berethalu of Huung's Hoppers for most successful passes and Horthborn Norosumé of Trax's Twerps as safe hands for reception.

The ground game has been getting pretty bloodthirsty, with lycanthropes and other frenzying lunatics bringing the pain, with injuries lead by The Howl from the Deepwoods and deaths lead by The Snarl from the Barrows, both werewolves for the Coffin Dodgers. On the ground, Butrekson outpaces all opposition with an incredible 352 yards made but an incredible, albeit distant, second place goes to James Darrel Edwards, quarterback for the Storm Heroes.

@Velaphor: later in the week is better for me. Thursday evening, 22:00ish, could be best, if that works for you?

Hay Gombol, I can do Monday from about 12 onward, or Tues / Thur nights after 7pm. Any of them suit you?

Dragon: I seem to see you online pretty late fairly often so I'm sure I'll see you soonish. I'm free pretty much any day after 22:00, but Wednesday I'm free all day guaranteed.

Unless he falls asleep ;-) (If that is the case we can attempt to get Vel to wake him, or if Vel's asleep too, DAMN STUDENTS, I could phone the lazy sods :D)

Ok we'll probably find sometime tomorrow evening as I'm at the fire brigade tonight and wednesday is the last day before my exam ...

1) I don't sleep at night time, that's when I'm awake.
2) Neither of us are students.

just got owned 2-zip by Trax...

Would have been a VERY different game if a couple of very critical rolls had gone my way - in turn 2 I had a pogoer within range of scoring a TD, (would have been my first for 3 matches), all I needed to do was make 2 dodge rolls... made the first one, and despite him having the dodge skill (and therefore a free reroll) he failed the second one (on a 4+).

From that point on, it was all Trax, though he did have a massive scare when I knocked his 39SPP catcher stone dead, however he got lucky with the apothecary and reduced it to just Badly Hurt :/

Despite a late surge after some excellent defence by my gobbos, my last 3 turns I made no more than about 5 actions in total, as I kept getting skulls or both down results on the block dice.

8 games in and neither of my Trolls has made it to level 2 yet, either :/


Game needs verification.

Da poor olde medikz didn't stand much of a chance :(

Kasatka played fine and was a fantastic sport considering his severe disadvantages, but with such a skill edge, there wasn't much he could do, aside from injuring my star werewolf with a lightning bolt.

Final score 4-0 to the coffin dodgers.
