The gallpeak facemaulers had a valient 2-1 loss to the coffin dodgers. I'm sure ghostwolf has some comments, but in my view, a highly tactical and tight first half ended up with him trying a last ditch throw before my sacker ghoul closed in, this resulted in a fumbled pass. Ghostwolf had wagered everything on this, leaving a few of his players close to the sidelines. When the fumble occurred, it was relatively simple to clear some space down the sideline by pushing a few of his players off the pitch, opening a lane for my ghoul corpsepesterer to score in turn 8.

The norse had real problems dealing with the amount of guard I had available.

The coffin dodgers received the kick to open the second half, and after a few hairy moments, and a few stops in hastily arranged cages, scored a second TD.

This was when ghostwolf's typically awful luck excelled itself, after a pitch invasion left only 3 of his players standing, whilst only 3 of mine went down. However, the coffin dodgers, smelling blood in the water, overcommitted themselves, leaving the facemaulers to score a consolation td in turn 14 after some silly errors on my part.

My guys are looking to punish trax's pansy elves next week.

Yeah wouldnt call a 3+ re rollable throw on an ag 4 thrower and catcher a 'last ditch' anything myself. It was a good plan but like anything i try against you it failed miserably :)

So yeah it was a good game. I was going for a throwing game pretty much out of the blocks with an agility potion on my thrower and a ag 4 linesman both waiting in the wings. Just didnt work out on my push. I used all my re-rolls early on to over throw 3 double skull rolls. With my most unwanted result being fumbled pass (as fumbled catch would mean panda only had 2 turns to go the length of the pitch) i of course got fumbled pass and it landed neatly where panda could pick it up and run for the endzone.

With my team bleeding players to injury and knockouts it was pretty simple for panda to get a 2nd at the start of his half.

Then the game decided that i hadnt had enough punishment yet and decided that my entire team bar 3 players should be kicked over during pitch invasion. Luckily my berzerkers have jump up so being on the floor really doesnt mean a whole lot to them. I got the zerker up and passed to him (which of course got fumbled catch, where were you when i needed you jerk!). At this point (turn 13) panda's luck stopped working for a second and he failed a roll (shock horror!) letting me get the ball and run for the endzone.

Had i made the throw it'd have been a completely different game but i've lost enough times against panda to know the better player won.

Bit miffed to have once again a match with no skill ups or any significant amount of money but after 10 games i'm not sure why i'm surprised. My team is sooo poor! We're eating our shoes down here!

Dragon: I will be around tonight and tomorrow night, poke me on steam if/when you want to play.

Saturday I will not be available past about 5pm UK time.

Myself and Velaphor played what promised to be an entertaining match when in the third/fourth turn my Krox was killed (hopefully not to join Vel's team). Tenquaxita (the famous Skink) scored a 6th turn touchdown which remained unanswered and not built upon. However it was more about the blood than the bowl. . .so yes, entertaining :)

The rest of the match turned into a brawl for the ball, as when a Skink picked up the kick off and hid behind 2 saurus. The Skink ate the floor, but somehow one of the Saurus picked up the ball and the rest of the match was a matter of who was stronger/luckier with the dice. Velaphor had horrendous luck with the dice after killing my Krox, so it wasn't a surprise in the final turn when he managed to break free, gain the ball and make two going for it rolls, only to finish the match 3 squares from the endzone.

Final score 1 - 0. Unlucky Vel ;)

Just lost my game against Comrade phil, 1-0 to phil. Thing started off well for both teams till the luck went bad for phil and i killed his Krox (flesh golem is back :P) but then the dice god saw it and went wait a minute your not Trax?! Have shit dice rolls the rest of the game! So by the 3rd turn off the second half where i need a TD to draw half my team gets knocked out on the side line not only that but a saurus held the ball for most of the 2nd half lol. On the last turn of my go my werewolf was 3 squares away.

That's now my 4 loss in a row hahahaha the Blood Bowl gods have decided that i am no longer worthy. I'll bring it back tho by killing Huung....'s players.
Even after all that it was a good BB and well fought :D

Just had my match against bloke. 3-1 for the Speedfreakz. Was a very close game though with terrible luck on both sides (slightly more on bloke's side though ;) ). One gobbo dead and no rat missing for the next match.

Pleased to see the kroxigor bite the dirt, though the array of levelled up saurus is...intimidating.

Trax bashing? More of this please. It deflects attention from the luck I've been getting.

Just played Dragon and I lost 3-1...

Dragon will agree, however, that the match was much closer than the scoreline showed :)

I managed a 4th turn touchdown, making it 1-0 to me (my first TD in FIVE matches!) with not many injuries happening, both teams had a full squad out for the next phase, though my fanatic (ball and chain guy) got sent off...

Dragon then managed two quick TDs thanks to his gutter runners (bloody things...) and a bad turnover from me... this is also DESPITE a bug allowing me to field 12 players after Dragon had made it 1-1!

start of the second half: 2-1 to Dragon. All my secret weapons used up.

In the second half I made one very critical mistake in moving my ball carrier but not performing a hand off before making an action with another player... this prevented me from moving the ball away from a fast approaching group of players, and a stupid troll didn't help matters either.

After a massive brawl in the middle of the field where I had a gobbo KILLED (side note: the gobbo was killed when I attempted a block, and rolled a double attacker down result - result comes up as dead, used the apothecary... apothecary options comes up as dead too! Funnily enough, this caused a turnover....), and we both ended up with a number of other players injured/KO'd, Dragon managed to zip away from the brawl with ball in hand, and had, without me noticing, gotten another damned rat into my TD area - said rat failed the catch but had plenty of time to make up for it as I had no-one in range to make any kind of interception. My attempt to instead do some damage failed miserably when I managed to knock myself out with the first block I attempted...

Final score: 3-1. The last two turns fizzled out, as we both gave away turnovers with pretty much the first actions we tried...

ADMINISTRATION NOTE:

This has been cropping up a lot.

If this happens in future, please put one of your players in the endzone in the corner and leave him away from the play, only moving him if necessary to stop him interfering with the game.

It's difficult to realise when this bug becomes apparent without you actually ending up with 12 players on pitch, as it tells me I do not have enough players on pitch (meaning I should have extra players).

In my particular case, I didn't realise until it was too late - and it actually caused me to waste a secret weapon that I wanted to try and save for later (as it forced me to play him, when it turns out I actually did not need to).

In this particular case, it resulted in no real advantage as Dragon scored a TD anyway...

EDIT: conversely, in the second half, after Dragon made it 3-1, I was informed that I did not have enough players on the pitch - and this was true, I was missing a goblin - he was not in the list that should appear on the right (there was no list) and he was not on the sidelines or in my endzone. Only after waiting out my 2min timer did the gobbo actually appear on the field - in a position not dictated by myself.

Appreciated.

Hopefully cyanide will sort out this monumental cock up soon.

Please try your best to avoid the action with the 'spare'.

From what I've heard, a lot of it tends to crop up after using the apothecary and it not registering/working properly. Was this the case in your game?

I had some issues with completing a pass after the thrower failed a bloodlust roll as well. I think the game is a bit of a goddamn mess right now...

A snowy afternoon in a dwarven stadium, Trax's Twerps and Storm Heroes face off for the game dubbed by some as "the final before the final".

Looking cocky as ever, the High Elves sneered at losing the toss and James Darrel Edwards, quarterback for the Heroes, chose to receive first. Aiming to dominate the first half and use the Heroes' higher power to take weakling Elves off the pitch early, Edwards figured that this should be a game in the bag. How wrong he was.

Fanned wide with experienced tacklers at key positions, the Heroes held the line as Edwards pushed up the field on the right flank, ready to punch through. Then, without warning, the left flank collapsed and in rapid succession two Blitzers, John McClane and Dwayne Hicks were put off the field, Hicks for the rest of the match and McClane only narrowly avoiding a more serious injury. The Heroes struggled to even hold ground as Elves crashed into the cage from all sides, steadily knocking more and more players to the ground.

The Heroes tried to stand firm and make a hole but the inevitable sack swept in and Edwards was put down with a vengeance, taking him out of the game as well. Indeed Dutch, the Heroes Blitzer powerhouse was seeing stars and despite a valiant effort to hold the Elves defensive return, Trax's Twerps put the ball into the endzone just as the first half whistle blew. 1-0 to the Twerps.

But all was not lost as a handful of key blocks as the ball was escaping left a key Elven Linesman in the dugouts for the rest of the match, likely watching harping nymphs glissard round his head. This put the Twerps, who have no reserves, down a man going into the second half. It was a small chink in the Twerps' otherwise impregnable line and the Heroes made sure they took full advantage.

Trax's Twerps received and swiftly dashed to the left, aiming to make a hole to sneak their speed receiver through. But instead of a hole, the receiver tangled in the line and the Elven thrower was left largely open with only a single Blitzer for protection. Wladislaw, the Ogre, lumbered into the thrower's face with a roar and though the elf nimbly escaped his grasp the sound must have been a significant distraction for the High Elves. Two key knock-outs and some further deft blocks and the Heroes knocked the ball free. In the backfield, John Rambo almost put out the eye of the Twerps' quarterback and post match reports indicate that this Elf will be missing the next game.

Heavily outnumbered, the Twerps conceded a touchdown, carried by John Rambo, bringing the score to 1-1 around two thirds through the second half.

The final line up was largely unproductive, with the Heroes trying to push their numerical advantage against the Twerps' incredible agility and astounding luck.

Final score, 1-1, but a moral victory for the Heroes for putting a player out for a game.

That was one of the longest games I've played... lasting nigh on 2 hours...

Trying to do something different is apparently not something the elves were happy with, even after having the plan explained to them repeatedly during half time.

This was evidently proven when one of my catchers (distinguised by having Nerves of Steel - usually -) decided to run down left flank into the wall of resistance to aid the blitzer as he charged charged up the line only to find that the idiot of a catcher didn't like standing so close to Dutch and was in the wrong spot, right where the blitzer was supposed to go. This resulted in only a 1 Dice block which ended up in being the start of a shoving match.

I was gunning for that draw, had the Elves not managed to break the Humans cage that could have been a loss...

Next week, with a man down, the elves play off against the Undead once more...
