Hi all,
I just signed up to THN a couple of hours ago after Panda directed me here. Would love to join in, but might have to sit out this season as I’ve got a 3 week old who likes to cry when I play bloodbowl. Would be keen to join in sometime later when sleep patterns start to set in. I’m fairly active on bbtactics forum (from where I know Panda) and as a couple of people there have been asking about other comps out there, I have directed them to this post.
Do you have a Steam usergroup for the league and its members? My steam username is Narly Bird, but my Cyanide username is Jimmy C. Confusing - yes, but when i purchased Legendary it wouldn't let me use Narly Bird as a coachname for some reason (i was Narly Bird in Delf edition before upgrading).

I later found this out. But seriously, i tried setting up my account as Narly Bird originally, but it wouldn't let me. As everyone now knows me as Jimmy C on Cyanide, it would be too confusing to change now. So instead i lead a sort of half life. Neither Jimmy C, nor Narly Bird. Much like I imagine Voldemort must feel.
Am keen to sign up a team to a casual comp. I heard rumors about Huung setting something up, but i need details dammit!

Sounds good. I can hold you on the reserve list for the first season if you need a few weeks to sort yourself, but you're most welcome to join in the first season if you can manage.

Well obviously i'm in. been looking through my old armies to see whether or not i wanted to use them. The goblins were tempting, very tempting but theres only so much stress i can take.
So instead i'm going to roll a nurgle team for something new and exciting. However if it'll make the difference between a pro division or not i'll roll my old gobbos.

So after long deliberation the decision for the league set up is a follows
The league will split into 3 Divisions with 6 teams in each (yes that means the vet division is a go!)
With confirmation from both vibs and bob that brings our player counts up to 15. Being only just shy of our intenteded target of 18 (14s a bit of a failure as numbers go) we are going to throw in some dummy teams to bring the numbers up. The dummy teams will be dispersed evenly with one in each division giving a bye-week (and free SPP) to those who would face them. We can drop these teams as and when more people want to join or their owners want to start playing with them.
This means a season length of 5 games one of which will be a bye-week.
4 games to play and one freebie at the end of season the divisions will be changed via promotions and relegations.
Keep your eyes peeled for league team registration!
Remember veterans your TV can be no higher than 1500. Start cutting those players.

However, in principle, this will mean that relegation will be the bottom played team in a league, so we're not gravitating bye-teams to the bottom league and the bye-crush that would then involve.

Further clarification on this:
Division 1 will be the veterans division. If you have any injured players on your roster when you register the team, their TV will not be counting to the 1500 total. However we will be counting that as part of your total. So, if (for example) you've got a 140 value player injured, you'll need to enter your team with a TV of 1360 maximum.
One easy way to drop TV is to drop a reroll or two. Or a reserve. Or cheerleaders.
If there are more than 6 veteran teams, I'll consider dropping mine. If there's still more than 6, it'll be organiser's discretion, with first-come-first-served being a high likelihood.

Because those 5 people are enough to fill that division?
With everyone else filling the other two leagues.
Also my HiE team has a TV of 1500 exactly. I had to cull a re-roll and a couple of linesmen.
