Buying some new Networking gear.

I've never had a problem with my WRT and have found it is the most reliable piece of networking kit which I have.

As an interest, have you seen the DD-WRT firmware ronin?

Adds a shed load of functionality and stuff including VLANing, VPN, and other bits and bobs.

That seems a bit of a blanket statement, prefix with IMO unless you're prepared to back that up. I've used Linksys, D-Link, netgear and Zyxel products extensively, and I've a very good idea of the limitations of each, blanket statements make for flame wars.

but Linksys hardware is 99.9% of the time pretty reliable - far more than d-link, belkin and xyzel etc....

Ok my, bad on that one (I did post at stupid oclock this morning :(:() I've used Belkin, d-link and xyzel gear along with netgear and linksys but i've had too many firmware related problems with them (and wireless problems) to warrant me seeing them as reliable (Especialy the belkin and d-link)

My bad for that statement

**goes to sit in corner and hang head in shame** (Vibs you can slap me later in the weeks :( )

NB: I edited my retarded comment :)
