Call of Duty 7

In this months PC gamer, there is a small article indicating that this game will be released late in 2010 to continue the series.

PC gamer suspect it is going to be a vietnam war experience as the developers are attempting to get licence's for some songs/hits that were popular amongst soilders during the war.

A welcome change?

Just did a search on google, looks like Traxata is right....Treyarch seem to be the developers

I'm cool with that, let infinity ward stick to modern warfare.

I did for the first year or so I played it, then moved to hardcore to see if that was any better. In both modes the guns are still horridly unbalanced, and broken. Maps are still nade-fests at the start of the game. Spraying is still far to effective with SMGs and MGs. Perks are meh, the ones that are useful are gamebreaking and alot of others (Eavesdropping lol) are just shit.

I was referring to the single player. I suppose you were too when you were saying it wasn't mindblowing. If I had to choose a company to make a mindblowing CoD I'd choose IW over Treyarch.

I think one can draw a trend from a development studio but I also think that we must not forget that any development studio that manages to survive will inevitably get better over time.

Because it's completely stupid, to put it simply. It's like saying "You're black, you will steal my bike". RACISM AGAINST GAME DEVS MAN! T'is not cool.

Also, remember it's your precious Infinity Ward that allowed Treyarch to make CoD3 a console only game.

No, it's not. It's like saying "You've stolen my bike before. You will steal it again".

I don't really hold any beef with IW for doing that seeing as CoD3 was CoD2 for consoles.

Heh. I suppose I could be accused of a bit of fanboi-ism. Infinity Ward make great CoD games. 2 and 4 were great games. I can't comment on 1 because I've never played it. CoD3 had "mixed reviews" (According to wikipedia. I can't get the metacritic page for some ungodly reason). CoD5 was a very good CoD4 mod.

Effectively it seems that Treyarch are riding on the successes of IW. It seems a safe bet that MW2 will be better than CoD7.
