Yep, good point. I'd forgotten that. Thanks D.
Ugh. If I ever start doing that, you have my permission to push me in front of a bus.Indeedy. And take it even further and set your alarm for 2am, when the skill is going to be ready so that you can start the next one!
EVE Support said:Hi,
I'm afraid that what you've read on the Steam forums is incorrect. You are able to purchase the game through Steam for 14,95 $ and most likely the response that was quoted from our customer support team was based on some kind of a misunderstanding.
What you need to do is to go to your Steam client, right click 'EVE' in 'My Games' and select 'Properties'. There you'll see a button 'Visit EVE Account web site' that you can click on order to upgrade your account. When you upgrade your account all characters and their assets will stay intact, and the remaining days from trial period are added to the 30 days that are purchased.
I see that one Steam user paid 19,95 instead 14,95, and my guess is that this user upgraded the account through the EVE-online web pages instead of using the steps described above.
Please let us know if you need further assistance with this matter. We'll do all we can to help.
Best regards,
The EVE Online Customer Support Team
