[DF] Fortress Year Eight

I think we've successfully completed a game with the only ending DF allows for: losing.

I think it is time we open a new fortress, probably called THN Dwarf Fortress 2 or something equally catchy. I have one request: if possible, please continue to set the game in Havonia (our current world) so there's at least some link through. No need to reclaim, just build new.

It's pretty early in the week. I'd be fine with D starting a new fortress if he fancied and has space for that. If not, then the game's due to pass to Trax and we can see what fine mess he can put us in to start with.

In my opinion "the whole game" has finished

Well, yeah, the fortress itself is finished. However, there's no reason why the next fortress shouldn't be built in the same region, thus, the same save.

I second non-evil but my main interest is having lots of magma.

I found that traders carried quite a bit of wood in the area we were in but a deforested map does leave us with container and bed issues so at least a handful of trees. Also, less trees means that our first coke production needs to be done carefully.

Or, embark with one bar of coke. Then you can start with the fuel making as soon as you find the bituminous coal or the lignite...

Has the new deathtra... i mean fortress gone up? I'm very keen to try my hand at not getting dwarves killed in a harsh and unforgiving world.
