Following on from [thread=7929]Bob's film thread[/thread], I figured it'd be interesting to see what you guys 'n gals are looking forward to over the next six months in terms of games.

Personally, it's looking like a game bonanza for the back end of this year. In release date order:

I was thinking about Crysis Warhead, but after playing it at i34 on the intel stand, its not that great at all

to be honest there isn't really much in the pipes that i'm looking forward to compared to the list the length of my arm last year

Spore and Left for Dead i will almost certainly pick up. RA3 i'm still undecided on, at the moment it just feels too much like C&C3 with RA models thrown on top to justify me spending cash on it. aside from that Lego Batman i'll probably look into when it arrives as well as watching out for Dark Void which looks quite interesting and Mega Man 9! which will hopefully be awesome.

on the "if only" front there is also Little Big Planet and Wipeout HD coming for the PS3

I'm currently sitting in a horrid, not a lot camp at the moment.

I'll probably get CoD as I enjoy a good bit of CoDageness.

But I'm really not looking forward to anything at the mo. I'm hoping one these game swill come out and we'll all be like wow that is awesome. But until then I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not really looking forward to particular games, but I am looking forward to Yahtzee taking the piss out of them :p

Mainly just Warhammer Online at the moment. I would like to give Spore a go too, however I would rather spend my time on Warhammer when it comes out :D.

I also can't wait for Starcraft 2 to come out, Who know's when that'll come out though and I'm not complaining. I'm totally for Blizzards "It'll be done when it's done" Moto :).

hehehe. I have yet to see how it sucks in the content from other players but sounds good.

thinking about that.. why dont they just make it online? or it ist? I only know its a sim thing and u can make crazy looking chars! I was hooked at the polka dot skin!

Spore is single player, but when you get to the point where you start visiting (read: terrorising) other worlds, those other worlds are worlds that have been created by other players...

Spore is a single player game where a lot of the variety of content has been populated by other players. They aren't playing with the specific creatures you see in your game, but they were responsible for inventing them. Galaxies full of penis-monsters were probably designed by Nanor, therefore.

Ahh Maddox! What a genius!

Personally I'm looking forward to Mirrors Edge, Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, Spore and Mercenaries 2.
