I tried doing an update for the roster a while back and it didn't seem to work proerply; this was before TBC, even before I created Lithaella, so that data is realylq utie old and out-of-date. If you can get it working, either you're lucky, or deserving of major kudos. All I managed to do was update some Umbrator-specific data and nothing else.
I agree with the "join Teamspeak now" thing - even though I myself am not on quite often, although that is due to the nature of my net connection not allowing me to get onto TS between 6pm and 11pm every day.
There are a few things I'd like to add in now that there's actually some attempts at organisation going on: the idea of a guild mod pack (I can provide the hosting for it if necessary), and a system to promote forum membership.
On the forum membership front, I'm using a sllight alteration of haven's idea; you can't make it past the rank "Member" unless you have an active forum account (people don't have to post much - if at all - but provided that they at least occasionally read the forums, that's fine), and then maybe putting privalages in for Veterans and above like access to the guild bank, first priority for joining guild raids and instance groups, etc (ie not completely excluding those who aren't on the forum, but denying them some of the more worthwhile elements of guild membership).
On the modpack front, I'm going to start a thread asking for recommendations and ideas for what should be included in it; even if the mod pack idea doesn't become fully integrated, I'll still have it up for download so people can get some of the more useful mods in one place, nice and quickly.
Think I've said all I can think of for the moment... I'll add more later if I can think of anything.
