well now you can nail the medic before he hits the charge. Or stun the medic regardless and then nail the heavy he's healing. then you have a medic with no-one to heal around and that's one dead medic

Removing the Uber stun makes the bat entirely useless since stunning someone gives them so much resistance you cant kill them before they come round at point blank anyway.

The stunned player now takes 50% more damage than it used to. Let's look at it like this:

As a soldier I can fire a full blast of four rockets doing somewhere between 420 and 448 HP worth of damage on direct hits without crits (Source). Hitting a stunned opponent this works out as 315 to 336HP worth of damage. Then I can just switch to the shotgun and finish even a heavy off. That's not including fire from your team mates.

I was playing koth_nucleus and a lot of guys were using the Sandman. Made for some awfully easy kills.

thats wrong... he takes 75% of the damage he would usually take... so with a FAN thats about 150 P.B.A.D (Point Blank Accurate Damage) He takes LESS damage while stunned, its just he used to take 50% and now its 75%, sillybuns! You can go on about soldier damage as much as you like (we know its ridiculous) the point is for a scout weapon its still pants, and using it means that soldiers bum you all of the time, as apposed to most of the time.

Its pros dont outweigh its cons anymore. Before it had something noone else could do, so atleast you could function as a 1 trick scout, now there trying to make it a "run and gun" scouts weapon, and fair play in a 1v1 maybe stunning would be useful, but in 12v12 with splash damage and glancing hits coming from everywhere, and the guy you stunned being covered in teammates, its about as practical as it is retarded :)

Edit: all i want is unlocks that dont suck, i mean, pyro got the axetinguisher and the flaregun right? flexible useful unlocks, instead of flexible and useful i just got, situational. Though having said that i really think heavy needs love too

You suck at maths. 150% of 50 is 75 ergo they take 50% more damage than they used to.

Also, despite the fact it's a pub when your team mates see a stunned enemy that's where they're going to fire because it's so damn easy to hit being still and all.

so with a FAN thats about 150 P.B.A.D (Point Blank Accurate Damage)

Then you can just whip out your pistol and do about 198 more damage. Or reload your FaN and do another 150.

The Sandman is an excellent tool for getting your team to win which is what weapons should be. Weapons should be incredibly effective when paired with another weapon. Sandman + Rocketlauncher is a prime example.

Whining aside, having tryed the sandman, ive gotta say its an improvement, but regardless i wont be using it.

Anyone found any new hats yet?
