Help required - Merging PDF files

I need some help merging pdf files.

I have a number of pages created with diagrams on them as pdfs. I now want to merge them all together into one document. How can I do this?

I currently have access to preview and adobe reader. Is there other software I need?

we use at work a program called the simple PDF merger

Does the job nice and easily.

My one main gripe with it though is that you cannot change the order in which they should be merged when you select multiple files to merge - so you need to add them to the list one at a time

You are probably already done, however assuming you are using your mbp then that explains roughly how to do it.

Preview is normally pretty good at doing it.

Aces. THis was the kind of easy method I knew there SHOULD be, but could not find in the help section. Cheers, done, sorted. Didn't even need to download any new software.

One I use at work is pdfsam pdf split and merge

Not wanting to be outdone, if anyone wants to do this sort of thing programatically, check out PDFBox. Yes, it's Java, unfortunately, but it's free.

Hey don't discount Nanor's method. We did that here for a couple of years before we decided to stop physically signing these upload documents we associate with our software...

Yeah, but that's more due to stupid laws about signatures. Cos they are so totally difficult to fake in a digital age...

This would totally defy the point of the task in the first place, which was to mass a bunch of high quality diagrams into a pdf.
