Palm, because I am A MAN and not some sort of woman daintily raising a cup of tea.

Careful how you speak about the national beverage! Wars have been fought for much less.

*heads off for a cuppa which he will then drink whilst holding his pinkie out*

Due to having to sit in a sometimes awkward position, i tend to vary the grip on the mouse (Shush, pervs! :p ). Also depends on how the wrist is feeling at the time. Hooray for variety! ;)

I think that can be answered from the details Razor provide:

2 mouse fingers (first and middle). Control left and right with thumb and ring finger. Top contact with base of fingers. Rear contact with base of thumb.
Okay, then I'm very much 'claw' :p

it's funny cos you're Swedish :p (my mate Oscar is from up that direction and likes to tell about how it's a mouse after a few :p)

back on topic, yeah my mouse grip is just weird as i have 2 fingers on the rmb, one on the wheel and kinda grip the side with my pinky while semi pushing with the pinky edge of the palm

When using a mouse at work, somewhere between palm and fingertip.

When using my good ol' trackball at home, I end up halfway between the palm and claw grips.

(kinda like this, but right handed)

Fingertip, but the right side of my palm directly under little finger also rests on the side of the mouse.

And I have the tips of three fingers on LMB/MMB/RMB respectively. Thumb is main stabaliser.

Heres me:

The base of my thumb is always on the desk with the Carpels all on the desk.

As i normally always have my elbow on the desk too, this is why i had so much trouble at i42

I always operate scroll wheel with my middle finger, however for tilt right, i use my index finger, and tilt left is my middle finger again, I dont use my last two fingers for anything on the mouse, checking now, i just found that when my middle finger is on the wheel i instinctively press the ring finger into the right mouse button. :S

to be honest, trying to palm a trackball is hard, mainly cause of the fact that theres a ball in the way which lifts fingers up!

This is true :) To be fair, I find using it to be comfortable and more natural than an ordinary mouse, though I recognise not everybody agrees with me on that point :p

I noticed a few months ago that my sister holds the mouse in such a way that she operates the left click with her thumb and right click with the index, has anyone else ever seen/used this method?

I've been looking over the last day and it changes depending on how far up the screen I am.

If I'm at the top of the screen it's a palm (well, flattened claw) and if I'm at the bottom of the screen it's a claw.

This is similar to me bacon, which was why I originally said mix of the two, but as Ronin said 'claw' is 6 touch points so it pretty much fits

I also agree with Bacon. I also kinda go into the claw when im playing shooters so i can move the mouse a bit faster.

Two hand, and sitting down. Doctor says I can't do any heavy lifting.

Wait, what? Ah, my computer mouse. Loose claw cupping action, basically.
