And without knowing YOU and you personally, perhaps also your browsing habits, and what you might be interested in, how are they supposed to know what you are interested in and show you relevant ads?

Its a site called "digitally disturbed gamer". Surely they would be able to work out what I'm interested in. I'll give you three guesses, and its not knitting....

Try linking the type of person visiting the website (a gamer) with the ads. I'm guessing that the general profile of what a gamer is like, won't own a home with a leaky basement that they want waterproofing, won't own gold that they want to change into cash, and probably won't own a driveway that they wish to paint. How about advertising offers on games and suchlike considering its a gaming website?

If you're blocking the ads anyway, how will you ever know if they are relevant or not?

Because whenever I see ones which slip through the net, and the ones which I used to see before I started using adblock, were pretty much redundant and irrelevant.
