Everyone is buying it.
However I can't. I can't own a game that has that many z's in it where they shouldn't be, I want to join in the games but I literally can't bring myself to get it.

I'd rather pay £15 for this (albeit they're temporarily out of stock at the moment) and have some tangible material for your money, than pay £23 to the steam scourge. Why anybody would pay the same price (or more, in steams case) for digital downloads than for a packaged product is far beyond my reasoning.

That's what I noticed too
I'd also rather have it on Steam, no chance of losing disks and it means my brother can just jump onto my Steam account to play it.

Those don't come with the awesomeness that is Colonization too.
They are JUST Civ4 and its 2 expansion packs - Civ4: Colonization is a standalone game THAT YOU GET WITH STEAM ALSO, that is actually awesome and is based around the colonization of America.
Buy it.

Edit: the combined price for Civ4: complete and Colonization is more than £22.49 on both play and amazon, so Steam is actually a very good deal
