Why do you need to bring cd keys if you already have the games installed? Why do you need windows? Is it gonna be a problem if I'm using XP pirate edition? yarr :p

The CD keys and Windows are just in case the LAN-Curse strikes and something goes seriously wrong with your PC and you need to re-install everything.

Don't say it won't happen to you or it doesn't happen because the guy I was sat next to at i36 had to re-install his OS 3 times over the weekend.

Going to an event that revolves around PC gaming and having your PC die on you just before/at the event is NOT a nice thing.

Also, just to pick up on Ronin's list - a mousemat is essential.

Both at home and at uni I just use the wooden surface of my desk, but the desks at the i-series are not smooth and varnished, and it's horrible to play anything on, even things which don't require fast mouse movements. They do sell mousemats there, but they sell out fast and are fairly expensive from what I remember of last year.

Moral is, if you don't normally use a mousemat, you'll need to find and bring one, and possibly start playing on it now to get used to the sensitivity changes etc (I spent my first day at i34 just adjusting to the new speed, which was a waste).

4 weeks to go...

I still haven't gotten around to sorting out some maps, which I need to do as satnavs and the like don't give correct directions for the entrance to stoneleigh that we have to use.

Are there any questions people have that aren't answered in the wall of text wiki page I created?
