[i37] THN T-Shirts

Ok so that's lots of shirts :D

After chatting with the printers, the best thing for me to do is supply my own shirts so I should be able to get some plain shirts quite easily from somewhere like Primark - Not sure how much that will be but I wouldn't expect it to be much, then it will be around £7 per shirt for the printing itself :)

Primark do pretty good big sizes so that works with me. Or I'll buy a T-shirt and give it to you over the w/e bloke.

OK so that's 8 shirts, I have the following people down:

  • Me - Size XL - "thatbloke"
  • bob - Size at least XXL - "waterproofbob"
  • Fury - Size L - "SgtFury"
  • Silk - Size M - "silk"
  • Haven - Size XL (maybe XXL?) - "Haven"
  • Xarlax - Size L - "Xarlaxas"
  • Tetsuo Shima - Size XXL - "Tetsuo"
  • Solemn - Size M - "Solemn"
The text inside the quotes is the name including capitalisation that I will get put on the shirts...

I'm now going to play around with the logo and see what I can come up with - the dude at the shop may well be able to make it better :)

Unless you let me know by about 10am tomorrow that something is wrong then I'll be going with this...

I think primark sizes are pretty small so put me down for XXL if thats where you're getting the template shirts from.

Attached to this post should be a jpg which is the kind of thing I'm going for with this... I think the tree might look a bit crap though so I'm tempted to ditch it and nab ronin'r design where we have the name on the front too.... or leave it as just [THN] on the front?

the font is Arial Black but that may change depending on what we come up with at the printer's :)

Couple of comments on the design:

First is that the URL at the bottom will probably be both outside print area and liable to be tucked into people's pants and thus will get destroyed pretty quickly.

Second is that (in my opinion) "justified" text works better than different line lengths for a large back print. That's why I focused on different font sizes to block things up neatly. Clearly, that's a preference (though a strong one, on my part) but that's also pretty much why I put the name on the front as this allows a common back where there's more text and a customisable front where two lines at different lengths don't look so weird.

I'm still very happy with my THN hoodie, it's a felt transfer on there, so it's not coming off at all :)

Ok so going off ronin's design, there should now be another image attached to this post. Thoughts? Suggestions? The name is now on the front and I've ditched the tree logo altogether...

I'm actually liking Ronin's design more tbh...

I'll check back a bit later to see if there are any comments before I order. Turns out I'm going to be doing quite a bit of travelling today :D

Unless anyone says I think i'll go for the 2nd more Ronin-like design

Ok due to a severe lack of plain black shirts anywhere in Portsmouth or Fareham I've had to go with a different colour.

So I've gone for a blue t-shirt that is in fact similar in colour to the blue that is used on these forums as the backdrop to the menu bar at the top. (the bit that contains User CP, FAQ, etc.)

The price is £10 for each shirt :)

WooT =)

I like the second design as well, I like the idea of having the username on the front.

Trax and I will be odd ones out with usernames on the back then :p
Tbh, if you're sitting at your PC most of the time, no one sees the front of your shirt...
