[i40] Meal

So at i37 (the last summer LAN) we all went out for a meal on the Saturday night - a few people have suggested doing something similar for this LAN, however I personally would prefer that we went at a different time such that those of us who wanted to could participate in the Pub Quiz on the Saturday night. So, in my opinion, that leaves either going for an early dinner/lunch on the Saturday (ensuring that people can be back by about 7pm for Quiz) or perhaps a proper Sunday Lunch (maybe Carvery) on the Sunday lunchtime.

We are bang in the middle of Newbury so finding somewhere shouldn't be an issue, though with the number of us going we would need to book and plan transport (if not in walking distance) in advance.

What would people's thoughts on this be?

EDIT: Thought I'd add, attendance at this meal will of course not be compulsory but it would be nice if we could all go

As long as somewhere sells decent food, then I'm def up for it. Not fussed about desperatly wanting a sunday lunch though, so saturday / sunday lunchtime should be fine.

Sunday lunchtime seems like a good time. Far enough into the LAN that we should have played really rather a lot by that point, so we won't feel we're missing out.

I dont mind when, but it depends what. Annoyingly im not a fan of Carverys, so if we can go to somewhere that does a Carvery AND somthing else (Like Fish and chips or somthing) or somthing similer, i would be happy.

Also, as it's in the initial post - are we planning on forming pub quiz team(s) on the Saturday night? Or just rolling with it on the day depending on who feels like it at the time?
