[i40] Sleepingz

In Cryo Sleep
Just thought I'd stick a thread up as it's not been "officially" discussed yet.

Whats the plan for sleeping? I know some people are driving back home each night, and some people might be staying in hotels, but I've just been looking at tents and theyre cheaper than I thought, so might just buy one. Am guessing that a majority will just camp on site though.

Short of tent + sleeping bag / duvet / airbed, is there much else camping wise thats usually needed (wol hasnt been camping before :))

A tent beer and a duvet is where it is at :p.

If you can get an airbed it is certainly nice. Although a good roll mate is almost as good.

well an airbed takes up just as much space (deflated) as a rollmat and is IMO more comfortable to sleep on. Obviously you need a pump for the airbed but there are people I know with in-car pumps :p

Also, I seriously suggest earplugs if you are not a heavy sleeper - I cannot sleep at an iseries without them - way too many people think they have a right to act like complete dicks and keep the campsites awake by shouting and making entirely unnecessary noise

Yep, as previously mentioned, I'll be driving home each night/day/whenever. The screaming kids were in the hostel too but, most of all, I've had enough of being away from home with work, nevermind for play.

erm..... trust me Airbed makes the whole camping thing allot less painfull in the morning! (seriously if you can get one, then doo eet) well worth the hassel of even blowing it up manually.

As for camping, I have to add, dont forget a torch.. always comes in handy.

I will be camping with silk in a 3 man, and slide I believe will be camping in a single tent himself. =)

it's likely I'll be going to ilite (in june) and I have no tent of my own so I'll likely be purchasing a tent for myself, meaning I'll have my own lil world to camp in :)

I know it makes it more comfortable. Ive slept draped in a sleeping bag in full combats (and boots) before, next to a 20 ft fire. :P

I've slept on the beach until a towel next to a fire a few times (no blankets) got alittle nippy at times but damn was it good fun! =)

If I can snag space in a tent I will, failing that I guess I'll be flying with an awful lot of gear :P

Starting to think the hotel/hostel sounds like a more practical plan depending on costs.

I can keep you a space if you want Haven.

I will be bringing my polythene bag masquerading as a 2-man tent again. It is a shanter, make no mistake. Still, fist and myself managed to squeeze into it last time (dislocating a few joints in the process) so there is enough space for another person. Fist gets first shout, of course, if he wants it.

I'm not sure what I'm doing as yet. The tent of Vibs is now a long way away in Stevenage and took a massive battering at i38 so not sure how the old war house is doing.

I may even look at getting myself a 2 man LAN tent. I'm also buying myself a gas BBQ once I'm into my new place so that would be coming along as well.

Honestly bob, go for a 4 man, 2 man tents are tiny, after your clothes, you could fit a midgit.
