well it seems that a lot of us are going to be turning up there before they even suggest bothering getting there, so im sure theres going to be enough space to stake out. If you cant get into the venue until 6, and people are arriving early/mid afternoon, then that should be more than enough time to go and stake out an area for tenting!

Indeed! Also, those who turn up later, and pitch in the incorrect area, will just have to relocate their tents if they want bacon provided in the mornings!

Is there any objections to the first person to get there to find a good (largeish) spot for everyone? And attempt to keep it as clear as possible, of course.

Was thinking that the person who IS first, to post here that they have a spot, and everyone can contact them (Phonenumber over PM or somthing?) to find out the spot.

Our secret plan to set up camp away from Gombol by letting him arrive first is almost complete! *chuckles*

Just to point out it would never be possible to get everyone camped in the same place - I arrived first and others didn't arrive 'til 6-8 hours later by which time there were tents up dotted about all over.

For future reference I always get there early and always pitch up near the entrance.

This was the problem. People had specifically said they didn't want to be near the entrance due to the noise. We ended up with two camps - you guys up near the entrance, and the rest of us 2 mins down the way in the quieter area. Considering we arrived about 10 mins after bloke, we weren't there all that late :p

tbh I slept like a rock every night without earplugs - either I'm getting used to it or it wasn't that bad. Yes it was the entrance so you heard a little banter, but perhaps because it was right next to security it wasn't as noisy as other areas where people could get away with being tossers.

I was there about 2 hours before Bloke :p

Plus I like to be near the toilets. The proper ones.

Fair enough, I sleep well enough tbh, but I know others don't. That, and the people traffic near the tent would get annoying. You also consumed more liquid-sleeping-aid than most of us ;)

I had no problem sleeping at the entrance. I also like the fact that the first thing security see is The Tank parked there full of my stuff :)
