So boys and girls, was chatting to my mate and the topic came up of the stupidest things you've ever seen people of each class doing, some of which crops up again and again. Got any stories of your own of a royal cockup you witnessed in a pug that you may or may not be supressing the memory of?
Warrior- The classic, arms tanking with a 2h in zerker stance as they shout at the healer who's clearly failing!
Rogue- One who used throwing weapons as a major source of his dps, running around at range, stopping to throw the odd knife. He said he wanted to go for a "ninja type thing".
Priest- "Ohmygod I have aggro!" *aoe fear* *wipe* Every priest I know has aoe feared in an instance at some stage, whether by misclick or when the shit hit the fan and they slapped their panic button.
Oh more specifically, and bless her it wasn't her fault, one in a ZA pug got mc'd and aoe feared all the healers, 2 shot the tank, shadow word deathed a warlock and then the MC broke, with her going: "er, tbh, thats the biggest sw:d crit I've ever had, go me!" ^_^
Druid- A balance druid in all cloth trying to bearform-tank Sethekk Halls, I was healing him and oomed after the first trash pull (while also self healing, he couldn't tank more than 1 thing, evidently). He insisted "ffs, I'm in bear so I have plate, wtf is ur problem?"
Mage- From the minor, clicking teleport instead of portal after a raid/instance, to the old staple of "the tank is about to pull. this means its time....for PYROBLAST!"
Paladin- A pug tankadin who ran into a boss in Molten Core, got a bit of threat on the boss, and then got to about half health or so from a string of hits, and while we were casting big heals....he bubbled and started holy lighting. Then while the boss ate all the healers and dps, he typed "ffs heal, dps watch aggro" in /raid.
Shaman- Can't think of anything offhand....Hmmmm....I need to meet more really stupid shamans...
Warlock- I ran a group with one who: soulstoned our rogue. Used curse of tongues on every mob, melee or caster. Life tapped every time he hit 80% mana. used the voidwalker while dps'ing and wasn't demo. managed to avoid -every- decent talent in some scary affliction/destro spec, and -lastly-, filled every gem slot with those epic +3 resist to all gems.
Hunter- Gruul pug, and on Maulgar we had him tanking Kiggler from range, and he suddenly went "brb, toilet" in raid, and feigned death.

Hmmm... tough one...

Warrior - other than the classic MS spamming arms warrs who claimed to be there to tank, I remember one who cleverly intercepted every single CC'd mob, claiming "he did it to stun them". Eventually, he'd ask me to resap said mob. -.-

Mage - other than the casual pyro / fireblast suicidal mage who even attempts to blow up his own sheep, I remember a moron who kept blinking "because it was fun and made it feel more lively", and successfully blinked into two bosses, ninja-pulling them. Joy.

Shaman - Got one enhancement shammy with the crappiest conceivable spec, talents spread across all 3 tress, making sure no synergy was to be attainec. Not happy with this, his dps rotation was non-existent, he had some trouble finding HUGE ICONS hovering above mobs heads and got killed repeatedly, only to quit party because (yes, you guessed it) the healer was a noob.

Warlock - meleeing targets with a firestone, only putting up a couple dots. His gear comprised cloth greens with +STR and +AGI, not to mention his wonderful arcane damage kit. Tried to help him out and give him a few pointers, only to get the condescending "I know what I'm doing" reply. Enough said.

Druid - nothing special so far, apart from the occasional noob here and there.

Hunter - trapping main dps target? Check. Shooting the crap out of CC'd targets? Check. Misdirecting a shot to the healer? Check! And to complete the package, stunning kiting while jumping into another pack, only to feign death and let them come straight for the healer. That guy was the complete package, I tell you!

Rogue - Mutilate. With fist weapons. Shiving for CP. With STR gems. Genius!

Priest - other than the occasional fear spamming, "squish-me-please" SP, nothing special.

Death Knight - tanking in Blood Presence, anyone? how about nuking ONE target from the pack at that? Not good enough, I see. Let us stay away from using Blood Boil or Pestilence or even Death And Decay - we wouldn't want to pull aggro as tanks, now would we? Guess who ended up tanking the thing...

Paladin - some nab named "Tuldur" or "Scrunchie" said "I can tank this". :p

*looks at Elauria* This happened the other week..... in UBRS when we were 3 manning it..... I say 3 man, it ended up one couldn't get in because he had been to to many instances in an hour and that left me and Elauria.

He then decides on the first pack to fear them into all the other rooms and then drops from the server. Leaving me to have to kill all that was left. Which wouldn't have been to bad if 6 of them were not summoners who kept summoning new ones, including new summoners ad infinitum.

Not a happy bear :(

Hunter - the comments "I didn't learn Flare from the trainer, I thought it was a firework" and "i didnt learn misdirecshun cos it does no damage" come to mind... both level 70.

Rogue - didn't learn sap because "it does no damage", instead insisting Cheap Shot did the same thing. Sort of mid-40s, I think.

Priest - A "DPS" priest who stacked int and nothing else, so he could continually use Holy Nova... and nothing else. "AoE DPS and Heal Priest" he advertised himself as.

Warrior - Tank. Dual-wielding. In part mail, part cloth. Why? Apparently he wanted int to give himself a bigger rage pool. Oh, and he was level 47.

Warlock - Claims he's an experienced PvE DPS'er, and immediately starts shadowbolt spamming the moment the tank pulled. No matter how many times we asked him to wait for aggro. So if he had aggro, it was obviously the tank's fault, and if he died, it was the healer's fault. I look back at it and I'm still puzzled, but not especially annoyed anymore.

Death Knight - "lol ghoul is mini-pet, it haz no game use, noob". Beta realms... they let any moron in, near the end.

Mage - using Ice Lance as his only spell. Constantly. All the time, from the moment the tank said he was about to pull till the moment he died seconds later. And for some reason it was the fault of me, the other mage. Apparently he wanted me to Ice Block him (and this was before all mages had IB), and called me a noob for not doing it. Whu...?

Wha? IB? Didn't you mean ice nova by any chance?

Priest- I think it was priest at least. He kept dotting target ment to be trapped. After explaining to him that square means trap he went- "oh ok sorry i didn't know". He still kept doing it for a mo tho.

Back in our guild, pre-TBC, while I was class leader for warlocks, I had one guy who we are CERTAIN bought his 'lock on ebay, because he was using his wand, instead of any spells, for an entire boss fight, in black wing lair...

I pointed out that he needed to DoT some people, and put SS's on the MT Priests, but that got me about as far explaining to hunters that things with the label "Class: Rogue" aren't hunter gear :p

No, he kept telling me to block him as if I could cast it on him. Seriously.

Hunter - I tried a PUG 3vs3 arena team with a hunter for a while. Guess what happened? "Damn, I forgot to pick up ammo lol"... for three matches in a row. /kick

Rogue - I've seen all from the most experianced rogue to the freshest meat on the realm do the same thing. Move in to sap - and forgot to stealth. Even done so myself a couple of times. Heh, nothing special then :p

Priest - I've been grinding for the t0.5 shoulders (shaman=mail) from UBRS for ages and this priest is still on my ignore list. The only time they dropped for me, I and this priest needed on them. He won ofc. When I asked why he needed on them, his answer was that they "lok cewl".

Warrior - I actually forgot to strap on my shield when I tanked a heroic arca pug. I eventually got a whisper from the healer, asking if I was in posession of one... /blush No wipes though.

Warlock - dot up everything and start AoE before the tank even moved in. Screaming for the healer to heal him. Ofc insulting with f-king noob whatever.

Death Knight - Did a PUG with one the other day. He was blood and clamied that he could heal himself through anything. He died on the first trash pull.

Shaman - This is a favorite healer I still have a screenshot at. Every time I run with a crappy PuG healer, I think of this guy, reminding myself that there's actually worse healers out there. And ofc, he was the party leader, so no way to kick him.
First of all, not casting any heals until the tank was at 20% health. Figures. Then he decided to just start jumping around, not healing at all, only casting a few shocks here and there, while the health of the tank slowly decrease, until the tank died, yelling for heals.
Being there with Chassandra, I feel compelled to do what I can to keep us alive, but with no healing abilities. Therefore, chain-seduce one mob which the healer immidiatly shocked. Repeatedly.
I also chain-fear one mob with swapping curse of recklessness to keep it safely CCd.
Then, I grab aggro of the last one and start running, thus effectivly CCing 3 mobs simultaniously... In the end we actually pulled it off.
As you might have noticed, I'm always using very civilized language in /p or /ra. More so when I am really annoyed at someone. Therefore, I sweetly asked him why he did not heal. He answerd that he likes to do damage. I gently pointed out that he is here as the healer and without him healing, we all would die. His answer was (written from my screenshot):
"FUCKING WALOCK SHUT UP YOU JUST CAST FUKING DOT DO NO GOOD MAGE MUCH BETTER ANYWAY". Then he left. I brought in Hubbit to heal instead, as ususal. End of story.

I think I really should figure who Chainsaw is...

Save yourself alot of hassle... the guy is (in most people's opinion) an idiot. This guy IS Barrens chat.

As for dodgy classes:

Warrior: "I can tank" ok, go into SL with this "tank" - group wipes on first pull. Doesn't seem to understand the concept of AoE aggro, meaning that the 2 mobs that he didn't have targeted went straight for the healer when he cast his first heal. "OMG STOP AGGRO"

Warlock: "How do I make a soul shard?" /facepalm

Another one in an instance of some kind: "Can you share your quest plz" me: "I already have shared it" him: "How are you getting those [Soul Shard]s?" >_<

I once grouped up with a Shaman "tank"...

Wasn't me by any chance? Haven made me tank one of the bosses in the instance where you go back in time. The one where a big monster spawns outside a little house.

We actually did it, too. :)

Omg that doesn't even sound polish! Well guess I will avoid him from now on... Remember him tanking the 2nd boss in MgT in his Arca rez gear >.>

I think his name was always Wasniahc (Chainsaw backwards), and he gets quite defensive/agitated if you call him Chainsaw (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I've never seen him with a different name). In RP, he insists that he's called "Ordin Shadowsong" and that the character name "Wasniahc" floating above his head is irrelevant.

*shrugs* Meh, to each their own.

Oh, and Bradstreet; I'm fairly sure that he's English (although the name had me thinking along similar lines as you until I noticed what it read as backwards), since in one of his trade-chat sessions, he was talking about his A-Levels (WHY do I remember this?).

Dodgy class time again:

Paladin "Tank" decided that waiting for the healer to catch up with him as he pulled about 10 groups of mobs in a Heroic was lame, and it was my job to make sure he didn't die, regardless of how idiotic the tank gets.

Warrior: "I have over 10k hp, I dun't need sheild... heal better!" Yeah, been through that scenario a few times during TBC pugs

Druid beleiving he can tank in cat form

Mage breaking his own sheep and all other CC mobs with insistance on continuous aoe damage

Hunter feigning death and causing a wipe to the raid when the tank died, boss was on 2% health
