So!
I've mentioned this to at least some before but it has finally been announced. Multiplay are running two minecraft tourneys over the xmas season. A speed build and a month long creative build. Details
The speed build runs from Friday 16th - Monday 19th. Unfortunately both myself and bacon are travelling to Switzerland on this weekend so will be unable to compete. If someone else wants to run a THN team in this competition then give me a shout...
The creative build is a month long challenge which runs from Monday 12th December - Sunday January 8th. Despite being over Christmas (and my skiing holiday) I reckon we have enough time to make a pretty decent crack on this. I have no idea who we could be up against being an online tourney but I reckon it would be a good laugh to have a crack at!
So....
The prize fund for the creative build is no small fish. The 1st place prize is $1000 and 2nd $500 going down to still achieving $50 in 6th. There are also promises of additional prizes from other sponsors still to come!
Ideally I'd like the i-series core build team of
with another two from
However this depends on who feels they can make it. I'm not expecting full 100% commitment timewise, this isn't an iseries speed build and it is Christmas. Having said that I reckon we can make an awesome attempt at something great.
The other difference of note will probably be lack of Comms within the team. We're clearly going to have very different build schedules to our normal I-Series tasks and to each other. This isn't insurmountable but does mean we need additional signing, explanation and discussion within the usergroup as to what we are doing, working on, and help needed!
So... What do people think, can Minecraft Clan THN reign supreme? We need answers pretty quick so we can get the correct people signed up on the site. We are limited to 6 unfortunately, so others who want to be involved are going to have to be relegated to observation, ideas and critique. It's a shame, but thats the way it is, and we need the most competitive team which is proven to work together.
Any serious issues with what i'm saying here feel free to PM me to discuss
