With the new changes I hate my class once again -.- 24% of base mana (around 1200) for CoH (triple what it costs now), Guardian Spirit back to its usual suckful self (not a free instant heal anymore), Serendipity nerfed from 60% to 25% mana returned, Improved Holy Concentration nerfed from bonus 10% to bonus 3%...

Seriously, what the hell o_O

That being said, I won't complain until the patch/expansion actually hits. And when it does, I will adapt. But I'm still sad, because I love my class as it is now and would hate to see it go down the tubes.

Mana values are often messed up unintentionally, and I think that's happened with priests this time. Last time I saw it, it was mages, and the base value of a level 70 Arcane Blast Rank 1 went up to 680 mana, making it unusable without clearcasting, more or less.

Remember that downranking has been removed in the new stuff, so a rank 1 version of the spell costs the same as the top rank version... (and it's based on a percentage of mana rather than a fixed value now... can't have a Shadow bolt costing 420 mana at level 1 now can we? :D)

For Healing:

There are a couple of points that can be moved around but personaly i find the builds to be pretty good in theory, will have to wait and see how they work in practice.

I just noticed, There's TWO "Relentless Strikes" Talents in the Rogue tree:S They do the same thing, tho the on in the assa tree is for 1 point, and the one in sub is 5 points.

Anyone know alternate talent tree sites that might get past my webmarshal? i.e. not blatantly obviously sat under "games" category?

From reading the pathc notes, sounds like the hunter Survival tree would be good for PvP, and MM for PvE.. but I dunno really without trying them. BM seems relatively unchanged, which is a bit dissapointing.

I'm planning on staying destro with my lock ofc, but there are a few things that need to be cleared up in the talant tree:

1: Will Fire actually be vaild this time? It's been crap the last 3-4 patches... but there's several really tasty talents there. Plus, shadow bolt spamming is just *so* boring.... fire locks actually need to have a spell rotation.

2: I've seen plenty of talants and skills that gives the entier party mana... destro locks also get some more mana form their crits. But is it enough to supply me with mana without my dear sacrificed fel puppy? It's been impossible this far...

*If* i can get my mana supply anywhere near as good as before the patch... my oh my, there will be devastation.

Last night we did some raiding - I am affliction specced so cannot speak for destro, but when I was actually able to stand still and pump out spells then even with a couple of spriests and whatever else was going on to restore mana I was still needing to use my mana battery (imp) and lifetap - but WAY less often :D

FTBH in my opinion it looks like for destro locks fire is now the way to go, firelocks have had a massive upgrade and it looks like destro might now be more fun than spamming SB and nothing else :D

Immolate+Incinerate+Confalgrate+SoulFire = Lots of Firey death :D

Having had a play around with a couple of specs with Elauria, it seems that the intended role for the raiding holy priest is more of a raid-healing role than single target healing. On first glance, it now looks like holy paladin and resto druid might be best suited to main tank healing, with priests and shammies having the pick of the AOE/multiple target heals.

The new Circle of Healing is great - it now prioritises the five targets most in need of healing (ie on lowest health) in range of the person you cast it on, and applies across the whole raid group.

I had a play around with 0/61/0 full Holy, but the mana regen is so gimped that I was OOM in Kara after about 20 seconds. Went back to a more traditional 14/47/0 build and that worked out much better, getting right up there with Smellygon and his Beacon of LOL in Maggy/Gruul/TK. As soon as the much-needed BIG FAT NERF to paladins comes in, priests should reclaim their rightful position at the top of the meters :)

The jury's out on warriors, I wanna get another 2H sword and try Titan's Grip, at the moment the loss of Sweeping Strikes from the Fury tree has left a big hole in the damage potential, and I'm not sure that dual wielding slow 2-handers is going to be as much fun as the fast and furious action before. Time will tell...

Not had a chance to play my rogue or hunter yet since the patch, so more reports to come. Overall verdict so far... shiny :D

gone for a nice fully holy spec+ kings, thanks to lithy and the sexy Glyphs my holy light heals every1 near that target for 10% of the amount, with Beacon of Light and the fact that each proc can crit, im getting quite a jump on healing meters there!
Spamming ftw!

p.s the day Elauria beats me in healing my Arse hole will heal up!
p.p.s luv ya realy XD

I spent a lot of time pondering the new rogue talent trees lately and this will be the spec I plan to raid with once I hit level 80, as things are now. It is centered around Poison/Mutilate and Rupture, while putting the new SnD and Evi glyphs to best use (at least I hope so, needs a lot of testing ofc).

The rotation would go like this (simplified): 5SnD, 5Rupture, 5Evi, repeat (maybe skip SnD and/or throw in an additional Evi depending on Rupture timer and Evi crits).

I hope to have SnD and Rupture up at any time while maintaining a good crit chance for both Mutilate and Eviscerate.

Comments/Ideas?
