I forgot to mention Blur. By far the best thing from Britain since ... since I dont know when! I suppose you might regard them as old school now, but their good blend of guitar, beats, decent vocals and undying image keeps em up with the best.
As for all this new indy stuff, Arctic monkeys in particular, well im sorry Tbone but theyre shite. After I heard that nutcase song 'You Look Good On the Dancefloor' I lost all faith in the music generation. Just my opinion, mind. Id take it into consideration actually, since there are very few bands/songs I truly dont like.

I listen to a little bit of everything. I've been enjoying the YTMND Soundtracks (up to volume 8 now:)) because they have such a wide variety of music.

Speedcore's always fun though :D

Hmm, I like a bit of both.

Finally Fishy comes out of the closet ;)

Back to the topic, i'm a rock man myself. Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian, Green Day rule. But at the same time, the Gods of rock Led Zepplin are my favourite. And they were around in the 1970's.

Blur were legends!!! I know something that came out of Britain that was more important though... the internet! If it wasn't for us, you'd never have posted that, and none of us would know each other...

*gives everyone a big hug in a friendly, manly sort of way*

granted, there was some papers about packet networking or something like that, but arpanet was built in the US, I believe? or was there anything before that? Am I completely wrong here, in that case please point me to the facts and I'll get them straight :) otherwise I suggest you do just that ;) (j/k)

I was under the influence that computer networking first started off with the US's Department of Defense wanting to keep all of their military bases communicating with each other by connecting them all, so that even if they lost one when Russia started to nuke the junk out of America they'd still be able to communicate with the others. There's also ALOHA (I forget what it stands for). That was a computer network between all of the main Hawaiian Islands.

If we're talking the history of the internet the fully qualified domain name would we www.thehavennet.org.uk. <- note the last dot, it even works when you enter it like that in your browser.

As for music, i listen to both, old and new stuff, ranging from dick dale to the latest electro :)

Good music is timeless really.
