^Yup. I think the fault was they made it too easy to get things people wanted; and too hard to get the less necessary things. Sure, there's less grind involved which is cool; but it does mean people don't play as much and get bored more quickly.

I can solo Mr. Bigglesworth...

Damn, I wish I could be as imba as you Glenn.

I guess with so many leaving i couldnt b arsed to make a solo thred so ill use Q mans :)

Im also leaving WoW for a while and reactivating my EvE account for some space goodness ill b around for occasional altage but generaly im gonna give it a rest for a while.

I think personly everyone is basing increasingly to much around a patch that tbh we already know isnt gonna give that much that were missing right now... but im sure itll make people forget wow is essentualy going the way of the old greats before they died, but hey il get off my soap box, ill see u guys on Ts.

Gay kisses and uncomfortable man hugs x

Well, some have quit/are on a break, but we still have a good bunch of people around willing to do stuff. I guess if the current leadership doesn't organize stuff we'll have to do it on our own. Kinda sad to see things go down like this, though.

Well maybe officers could give permament permissions to pug Naxx and other stuff, so at least the people that still want to play the game can do it. I don't mind really, I'm having some good and enjoyable time with Fail Craft runs.

Ahoy, :)

I haven't discussed this with the other officers, yet, but I'm going to take a bit of initiative and give out a standing permission to PUG Naxx.

It's valid until this week's raid reset on Tuesday night, and I'll confirm further after the rest of the gang has weighed in.

Note that this is for Naxx only. Don't go PUGging Sarthy and Mally just yet. :)

Sounds like the wow guild is crashing a bit.

Not on your life! :) A bit of a crunch, yes, but definitely not a crash! At least, not as far as I'm concerned. ;)

Cheers,
J.

I don't feel so bad about letting people know I won't be around for a while now...

My subscription ran out the day I went off on holiday, and I don't intend to renew it until at least my dissertation is in (end of April) possibly, not until the summer even.

I have a lifetime subscription to LotRo and just found out my uncle still plays that, so I may disappear back to it for a little while (Grand Master crafting skills ftw!)

To be honest, the very same reasons that made me take an indefinite break were enumerated here. Even with the massive peaks of work I can have, I always managed to find the time here and there to log in, grind for a raid, and have a few laughs with you guys. Up to the point in which I was basically just having fun while chatting with the guildies and the grinding / raiding / whatever was just a filler.

I've recovered from my WoW addition by feeding my guitar addition, so I've got 30 guitars and 4 tube amps at this moment. :p Come to think of it, WoW was a cheaper drug. :D

30 guitars... *drool*

What types do you have?

Ofc you have a jackson RR3, and a Fender or 2, and an Epiphone, eh?

Well, I did have a couple Rhoads over the years, but the bulk of my gigging guitars fall into 3 cathegories: Les Pauls, Teles, and Superstrats (6 and 7 strings). I do have my trusty old Fender Jaguar and a Flying V for the odd shape, evidently. :p

How did the Rhoads play? I might be buying one - If it's better then the Esp SV standard

Ever had an Ibanez?

Ibanez? Own 6 ATM. Most superstrats I use are Ibanez, and even had a 1978 Ibanez Artist in my ranks. As for the Rhoads, it's quite good indeed, although I'm not entirely sure as how the quality control is hanging after Fender took care of matters regarding the Jackson brand. Save for a proper US RR, though - the neck-through construction and craftsmanship are well worth the extra cash.
