Reputation top-10 league table?

It seems a good idea - especially since you've decided to omit the actual values.

It should hopefully encourage more use of the Reputation system and hopefully people will strive to get more reputation by putting a little more thought into some of their posts *cough* . Thus making the forums a more friendly place.

It's got my vote.

Referrals occur when someone puts your username in when they join this site as the person who sent them here. It's a good thing, therefore. More referrals means that you've (allegedly) been responsible for more people coming to THN.

At the moment hardly anyone uses the reputation system and for those of us who do a large amount of organising there is little or no pay off.

Now this has no bearing on my wanting to organise stuff. I do what I do because I enjoy it and have the time to input at the moment but it is a bit dissapointing from time to time. Plus there is only so much I can award my own admin team for organising matches etc...

I don't think that the top ten would have any real resemblance of how much input people have towards THN. Although if it promotes the use of the system then it would be beneficial.

That's a shame. I do note your comments on this not being a prime factor in whether you arrange new things or not, but it'd be good for you and other organisers to receive an ongoing recognition of your efforts for THN.

I'm hoping that raising the profile of the Reputation system will also raise people's wish to use it. I agree it won't be the whole story, nor a fair final reflection of who contributes the most... it may be that we need to tweak some of the other settings to help that along, but let's start here.

Well, the consensus appears to be pretty strongly in favour of having a top-10 "league" posted for Reputation. Let's give it a run and see how we do. I'll go gather the first results now.
