It's been confirmed for release this fall sometime, so we might as well get the hype train rolling.

Quitting the Green Day Rock Band demo greets you with this screen. Speculate away.

So I read a thing on Engadget yesterday - seems that the rumour is that rather than being a Keyboard it will be a Keytar...

....er.......

do they realise that what they have already are keytars? 5 button versions?

Or have they forgotten that normal guitars have more than 1 string a 5 frets?

I'm not convinced that's going to end up being accurate, but if so it likely isn't a new peripheral at all. Probably just a way of "officially" supporting songs that use the guitar or bass as a keyboard, which already happens in a few cases. (The Final Countdown comes to mind right off the bat.)

So uh, pro drum mode looks to be awsome!

If it doesn't support the drum rocker I am going to do my nut!

Sounds like it will, and they're also making an adapter so the pro modes support any other midi instruments. So if you've got a keyboard already, no need to buy theirs.

Ahh that'll make life easier, we have a nice full-size midi keyboard :)

But, I have to say I haven't got on well so far with the RB drums (from the beatles boxset.) I seem unable to get them to reliably hit notes and the plastic frame needs to have a tilting option, I dislike the way it's built :/

Sounds like you need a drum rocker!
