[TF2] Scout Update!

Ah, the Sandman looks cool. So you need a 'headshot' with the baseball for them to be stunned, or am I misinterpreting it.

Yes, I believe you need to head-shot for a stun. The longer range the shot, the longer the stun. It even works though Ubercharge.

I like the way theyre releasing the community maps. Theres some really good maps out there that have been made. I think it was pl_hoodoo or something that i noticed go from dev texture stage to a proper textured stage....

I hope it has the same sort of effect that spinning up the minigun has on the heavy, and doesn't make them a completely defensless sitting duck.

jsut like my router, should just be called dropped packets, annny way, ... it not seem a little fishy to you, the pics arnt brill, it seems very thrown together, the model is allover the place, the map seems unbalanced, the items are a bit... poo.... that scouts a.... mmm

    * Fixed a bug where players would sometimes gib from non-gib damage kills
    * Fixed stat screen showing an entry for a class called "map."
    * Fixed item model panels not using team skins


- Fixed obscure bug where spectators were able to carry the flag

This makes it a whole lot easier for spies now. :smug:

And loving the spectator / flag one :p

Now if only you could get the spy to carry unlockable weapons as well, perhaps only if you have unlocked them for the class, then it would be awesome :smug:

They've been slowly buffing spies in the last couple patches. That's ok I think, the spy population is (was?) pretty low.

Note they claim to be preventing facestabs again, so this patch might not mean any net change to spies at all.

From what I have seen, face stabs are still doable, but much harder to pull off. There's only a very tiny area you can hit in order for it to work now.

Just logged on to steam and there was an update for TF2 yesterday, interestingly in the patch notes:

Fixed a server crash on startup under Linux

Might fix the server issues we're having?
