I only pre-order collectors editions tbh. Otherwise i wait for Steam sales a few months down the line.

GAME is not cool.

You realise that this is just a repost of the same information that everyone's using as their justification for why Game is to blame, which is to say "some guy on Facepunch thinks it's so"...? We're still missing any actual facts to the matter.

Realise? No(there is a link at the bottom), but i cant know if you read it elsewhere. Does that make any difference? No - Its the First I've heard.

Everyone? Blame for?

We're still missing any actual facts to the matter.

I didn't purport it as fact, though the person that sent me the link did.

Sorry, not picking on you. Just catching a flaw in the thread...

Realise? No

To recap:

There were a couple of articles over the past 9-12 months talking about how highstreet stores disliked digital distribution.

There's been a handful of games that haven't shown up on Steam until very late, if ever (Brink, Space Marine, etc).

Some guy on Facepunch posts that he thinks that Game are to blame for these absences on Steam. He uses hand waving and reference to these old articles, plus the absence of games on Steam, as evidence.

A guy allegedly from Game denies it on Facepunch, and Game denies it officially to the games press.

Various sites quote, requote and paraphrase this Facepunch poster as if what he says is true without any further research or evidence.

Said guy on Facepunch has yet to provide any hard evidence beyond conjecture. Crowds don't care, though, and pile on Game anyhow.

Does Game deserve it? Probably.

Is Game actually responsible? We don't know; there's a distinct lack of hard evidence.

Well the pre-order was available for all of a day on steam, then it got pulled. And if you knew the steamid for it, you could still get to the demo.
Not saying it was due to GAME, but it lends more credence to the theory.

After giving my computer its much needed upgrade i have played through the demo on highest graphics smoothly and i can verify it's a bloody brilliant hack-n-slash and i will very probably be buying it :)

My collectors copy has arrived, and I will endeavour to give a spoiler-free commentary on the thematics, game play and graphics here and via twitter (micro bloggan innit) as soon as i get a good session in.

As for the box contents, the Purity seal is nice and hefty, and fortunately avoids the 'tacky tat' feeling some other game give-aways end up having. The art book is high quality gloss paper with beautifully rendered art - both pre-production and development frames.

I have not given the soundtrack a listen yet, but as it IS the game sound track, I'll kill two birds with one stone while playing!

Sorry for the brief post, but I feel understandably excited atm - The loading bar is just crawling up to completion as I submit this post. When Kasatka is up for a game, we can hopefully give mutual feedback on the MP experience!

For the Emperor!

I'm not interested in the game but I have just seen an advert on Channel 4 (during Big Bang Theory) saying "Demo Available Now. Search online for 'Space Marines'"
