Just found this on Cracked. Admittedly, I haven't watched the video, but thought it very relevant. :3

The video is funny.

The article is about how one person found it not funny and because of this one person making a complaint suddenly the media is reporting that "everyone" is "outraged" at this homophobic, worse-than-Hitler, racist that's attempting to incite mass violence.

It pretty much nails the whole issue I wanted to bring up in the first place...

Yeah, I did read the article, and it is definitely a big issue at the moment. I do love that 'worse-than-Hitler' comparison. I think the whole thing is just ridiculous, and reading about the real story behind the Mosque on Ground Zero thing (haven't read any further so if that is incorrect, my bad) just shows how the media is quite willing to destroy something for a story, and this applies doubly to comedy and entertainment.

It's probably worth remembering that media companies are businesses just like any other; they need to make money, preferably lots of it. Sensation sells news.
