[TF2] Team Fortress evenings!

So we've had a quite a bit of interest in TF2 events now, and I think we need to get something going on a regular basis. So, what's your preference for frequency? Day of the week? Time? Make yourself known!

---------------------------------------
Myself, I'm available EST evenings (that's five hours behind your evenings) pretty much any day of the week. Should we want weekends, I can make pretty much any time work. I wouldn't mind having organized events two or more nights a week (as I mostly play every night anyway.)

A day of the week. ( as in not the weekend). Ideally not fridays, as I'd prefer to get drunk.

Although drunk tf2 is funny (take a shot each time you die....)

7pm / 8pm > onwards usually works.

I've tried adding a bunch of the people who were playing tf2 over the last coupla days to my steam friends list, but only a few of them have actually added successfully. I'm sure that 7 people were on the server who were on my friends list yesterday, but I still havent got the "with friends like these" achievement :-(

So if casually anyone fancies a game, drop me a message and ill prob join.

Only if you die a lot! I prefer my drinks to be in constant supply.

I think I'd be in casualty before the second map due to my unique "interpretation" of a playing style :p

As for the evenings, I'm down for whenever I'm free, which is most evenings but can be work dependant.

Or one I played once - Take a shot every time you get killed by a melee weapon or if you kill with a melee weapon.

Well that was a fun night! I was doing fecking well (me and DeZ were 1st and second for a fair bit).

And then we lost the 2nd cap on 2nd stage of dustbowl (the usual tricky one) , by a few seconds :-( Oh well. Good laugh nonetheless! And no alcohol involved.

That'll change cum friday :p

Was an amazing game, continued till 1am (a bit later than I should have tbh!) and managed to unlock the third pyro milestone... got plenty of fluke runs and plenty of scorched enemies!

It's sad that competitive TF2 isn't that widespread, since I reckon that THN could smash our way to a title in a future i-series :D

No dez, we've tried some of those teams, wow. just wow.

Thats why i don't want to do competitive tf2 :p

Indeed the few teams that do play competitively and most of these are in America these days are insanely good. They have got the whole rolling play down perfectly so it is next to impossible to breach them .

So. How does everyone feel about Wednesday evenings? Jump on when you can, and play until you're too tired/drunk to continue?

Nah, we don't need the admin overhead. Joining an empty pub worked great, and they fill up quick once you've got 8 or 10 people in.

I'm still on the TF2 announcements list and the updates are coming out every week to ten days, and then three times a night when they do release them... it's a pain to keep the updates coming for a server that doesn't get a whole lot of use.

Well at the minute we hop on an empty public and fill it up. We can hop on the THN server and populate it while we have admin rights in case some twat comes along and randoms who hop on the server and might think "Hey, this seems like a pretty good community. I think I'll hop onto their forums". Not forgetting we might actually put some use to promethius?

The pros far outweigh the cons. The cons, I can only imagine, is that you get crap ping on the THN server, or just have something against THN. :p
