You get about 3-5 seconds after the charge changes where you will not get any damage from crossing charges, which is why the tactic in the video works.

What Qman said. If you will look carefuly the next time you are in Naxx, it turns out the you have plenty of time to move when you notice your charge. As long as you stay focused all the time. People sometimes try to dps too hard and forget to move. A small note to them: Don't bother. Qman, Brighthorn and any ret paladin will own the dmg meter anyway.
