putting lights and stuff in your comp probably inclines people to game harder, therefore losing more life!

so you see, everyone suffers in the end!

and on that note, my memory has fancy flashy lights on it..but only because the store ran out of "normal" memory, but it turns out this stuff is actually pretty good quality...

when the lights flash orange it sometimes makes it look like theres a fire inside the case..i opened the panel once just to make sure...damn flashy lights!

I have 17 LEDs in my case.

2 on two case fans, one on top and one on the side panel... (1 LED on each now doesn't work :()
4 colour changing ones on 2 case fans mounted at the back. these cycle through red, green and blue.
4 on top of the massive rocket I have mounted on my processor...
and 3 mounted at the top of the side panel that shine down into the interior.

That also doesn't include the two blue light tubes going down the edges of the front of my case...

All in all... it's SHINY!

Does this mean I have no life?

:/ Your room must be like the Blackpool illuminations. I have a couple blue LEDs on a power thingy fan on my motherboard, but thats my whack. I don't care for LEDs anyway, my PC is down and out of the way. Mind you, my old X800XL looked mint because of the gigantic gold heatsinks and silver heatpipes, now replaced with the white plastic tack and sad computer generated female imagery of the X1950XT. Also, my case has 'iCute' on the front for some reason. Keep meaning to chisel that off.

No, sorry, I do feel sympathy. Of course, it's better he killed himself than anyone else. Then again - it's not the kind of lesson he will learn from, is it? And it's not like this is the first time anyone's been stupid behind the wheel and gotten themselves or anyone else killed. Why should this lesson prove better than the countless others before it? Plus, UK is doing very well in the international comparisons for traffic deaths... Link (from 2006-09)

You've got to feel sorry for him because he is dead. But I feel more sorry for his family, and I think we should just be glad that no-one in the people carrier was hurt.

When did I say it would prove a better lesson? I'm just hoping that it will somehow exert a little bit of influence, maybe on his friends and family at least, which would be about all you can take away from it. It's certainly had an impact on my own attitude towards driving, maybe 'cos I've shown it to you it'll make you a little more aware as well? Mind you, what can I teach a man who hails from the country where your lights have to be permanently on? :D No bad thing though, I've been in my mates cars before when they have forgot to turn on their lights at night. (Not mentioning any names. None at all. *cough* bone *cough* :))
Taffy, I'm also very relieved that nobody else fell foul because of one clown's ignorance; it's just a shame that 99% of the time an ordinary person who paid no nevermind ends up paying the full price. It angers me, it really does.
