UP grading PC, Advice please!!

From what I can tell the 1x512MB card should suffice. If it turns out you want more, you can always add a second!

1x512 feels like a waste of money to me if it costs the same as 2x256.. if it's a faster card, then yeah, best get that as it leaves the road to a possible future SLI setup with all the goodies open, and the extra memory may come in handy for future games.
