Just do it man, the gear can be had from kara and badges. The only bitch is the number of 8 or 10 agi gems.
101.6% avoidance you get by a funky 0/21/40 build, a ton of agi, a little defense, and a few buffs/debuffs. Best thing is it will last all the way until sunwell plateau.

Nah, it was discovered not too long ago that on a boss that does pure physical damage that a rogue with enough dodge and group buffs can tank it quite easily.
Ive seen videos of rogues tanking Gruul. Archimond and even tank Illidan.
Heck it was a rogue trying this out that found out that after about 50 'grows' Gruul resets to one and starts over back at one.
Its nice to know Seccord is capable of this too, just a shame that about 30 other rogues have already done it, since the first rogue did it theres just been a flood of copycats.
It is impressive to see a rogue tank illidan, but once you have seen it once its not very impressive after. though either way grats to him i suppose, nice to see rogues putting warriors, paladins and druids out of a job
Next thing ya know we will have mages solo-tanking sunwell bosses while the warriors read "healing for dummies" in the corner

To the best of my knowledge I'm the first european rogue to do this, and prior to that only one other rogue had tanked Archimonde world wide. I've only discovered 3 other rogue tanks since. If you have any info please dish it, as I would like to see how these guys are geared up.

Well i dont follow it that closely, all i know is that my little brother spends 90% of his time on warcraftmovies.com watching most the video's on there. There is about 10-20 different videos of various rogues tanking various raid bosses.
As far as i know theres only one or two of rogues tanking illidan, a few of archimond but there are loads of rogues tanking kara bosses and such.
Generally if someone on WoW has done something spectacular and filmed it my brother has watched the video on warcraft movies so id have to ask him when i next get the chance, but trust me there are alot more than you probably realise.
Its still quite an impressive achiement because no matter how you look at it still comparitely incredibly few rogues have managed to succeed with tanking, i was just saying that unfortunately for alot of people its sort of old news

Regarding the other rogues, it's mostly to see how they have put their gear together. I went for pure avoidance, but I know the other two have put in some expertise for threat gen.
Also, some bosses appear to be more tankable than others. Believe it or not some bosses suffer from a dual wield penalty, whilst others like Archi and Illidan do not.
The one I would be most interested to try though would be Hydross. No dual wield penalty, and attacks that can be dodged/parried/missed. The idea would be to keep him in the frost phase for the whole of the kill. One problem might be the icy tomb, especially when everyone has the 500% frost damage debuff.
