Whats the plan for the future?

:eek:Just wondering if the guild is planning to start raiding 25 man again like back in TBC or just continue with the single ulduar group per week?

Considering the amount of members we have im surprised we're not seeing more sign ups. Do we need to go on a recruitment drive to get a full 25 man raid going or are people not signing because they are undergeared?

If we're still struggling to get people for a 25 man raid (as we did back in TBC) perhaps we can start raiding with another guild?? (again like in TBC.. I remember Haven bringing some people he knew to our first Gruul Kill).

Having just pugged the the first 9 bosses in Ulduar 10man with people wearing lvl 80 blues and other shit I don't think it's going to hold much of a challenge for me and I doubt most of the other members of the guild.

Let's start aiming higher for 25 man ulduar / 25 man maly and maybe trying Sarth with 2 and 3 drakes up.

Hopefully i'm not the only one that wants to do this.

Ahey, :)

Well, we had 16 signups, this weeekend, and that's the most that we've had since Ulduar came out...

I can't tell you why people aren't signing up, but I can tell you that there's a lot of people just coming out of downtime from exams, breaks in gaming and other things, and we really need to see how that pans out.

But to answer your question, no, you're not the only one to want to do Ulduar 25. :)

Cheers,
J.

I might be returning to WoW (mostly on Angelic) for the summer to fill in the holes between the various events I have planned. This might happen soon, but it may not happen at all... All in all, what I'm saying is you'll probably have two less healers to worry about - because I'm just awesome like that ;)

What swayed me was an Ulduar clearance video by Closure (linky), blokey returning and general boredom of not having anything of quality to play. So unless I get a gf or the GA beta finally arrives and I get accepted I'll be psyched to put the titanic baddies to the test :)

EDIT: Boy is there an abundance of (holy) priests around here... Seems like returning is not such a good idea.

Or we can also do 2x 10man raids? Last week we had 16ppl that wanted to raid so 4 more cant be that hard to find? And I also really hope for some 25man action :)

The problem is that we need the specialist people, i.e. healers and tanks.

I don't want to go into a group that will have no chance of succeeding, as that's no fun.

Having been afk from the game for a while I'm not totally sure on teh guild's current make-up in terms of healers and tanks but i'll try and find out and figure out what we need.

Dude. There's like FUCKTON of healers, holy priests namely. Zoogzorz, Razrager, Onormal, possibly Lyranne's priest, Yin Roh... Hell, I don't even remember all of us. And then there are the non-priests (Ting, one of Blacker's alts, Belly, Marqo the healer (lol), Feather...).

Sadly, with the degree of raiding activity and so many people that go for the same type of loot (let's not forgot Fae and other facemelters as well as the mages and you lockzorz) we ain't really gonna improve much.

What I'm saying, I guess, is, that I always felt our guild has plenty of healers. Why it doesn't work out for raids, I don't know.

That's fair enough, but out of those, who wants to raid?

I asked Tingham about the raid at 7.30 on Saturday night and was told it wasnt happening because they were 2 healers short for a 10-man run.

I think that after a few weeks exam time will be over, the novelty of actually having some sun in the UK will also have worn off (people will be moaning its too hot by then) and then we should assess what we need to be able to do the good stuff :)

I think the plan at the moment is to work towards two lots of 10 for Ulduar.

Obviously, were at a sticky bit at the moment where we have too many signups for 10, but not quite enough for 25. Bear with us here :).

Ok, this is not me moaning or something of that nature. I am going to put my point across here.

I understand to a certain degree the frustration of people, but there needs to be a little realisation here. Angelic it is difficult for you to be able to appreciate the numbers in guild at the minute being out of game, of course for admirable reasons.

Of the healers you mentioned; Zooggy and Onormal are the only ones that are really active as priest healers. Raz has been tanking for the past couple of Ulduar runs because we did not have an off/main tank depending on fight.

Yinroh is not in our guild.

Of the other healing classes you mention; Blacker and his many alts no longer play WoW, Belegon at this moment in time has a lot of real life things going on so by the looks of it game time is going to be restricted for him.

So far I make that two priest healers and Marqo, Glenn and Bele when he has time.

Of Our Druids, Featherwind is the only one left. Ting took the moo tanky and his main is now Mycinae his Mage, so another healer and tank down.

I apologise here if I have left anyone out, but these are the names that spring to mind. Qman also said the other night there were two healers online, that simply for how healing intensive the fights in Ulduar are, even TRASH in some cases, is not plausible.

Ulduar is a huge step up from Naxx, and this also has to be considered on group build, and quoting Qman again, it would not be fun going into a place like Ulduar with a group that is not equiped to be successful.

I would point out im more than happy to come along on whichever character and spec is needed. My druids second spec is now resto.

As one of the veteran raiders of the guild, I have to agree.
And there is also a reason why we run Naxx 10 and why some of our high end people are in there. For those of us who don't really need the gear in there. We help more people gear up.

To make a similarity here: High end people done with Kara. Helped others get gear in Kara to get more people for Gruul/Maggie etc back in TbC.

So basically we are doing the same thing now with Naxx as we did with Kara back then.
We will have more people geared up in due time.

You are absolutely right, I realize I'm currently only talking as an outsider, based on our WoW Roster thingy and the applications I've seen in Recruitment subforum. Indeed, things might be (and probably are) quite different in game and therefore render my points void.

From what you said it sure seems quite bad... As I've said, I'll try and return, hence bringing one healer which could be quite a nice step towards having at least one fully functional Ulduar 10man group whenever we see fit. At least this happening could spark more interest in the rest of the guys to put in some effort.

Also we must not forget that it's currently exam period so many people are out for that reason. It'll get better throughout the summer, just like it did last year when we stormed through the 25man contents.

P.S. I'd hate to break promises, which is why I'm not saying 100% I'll return and have time to raid as actively as I did last summer - that time I was trying to deal with a nasty breakup burying myself behind the computer, this summer I have a fuckton of events planned, so...

Hey all,

Unforunatly you will have to count me out of alot of the raiding plans we may have.

I am getting married in 2 months and in about 3 weeks I prob wont be around properly until mid-September. My wedding is in August and then its off to China for 3 weeks. Most of July will be taken up by various pre-wedding event organised by us or our family.

Anywho, ill prob still be on for a bit each week but in a few weeks I wont be raiding for a while.

Problem being that lately, those "high end" people don't want to do Naxx anymore, what we get is "great idea, go do it, I'm logging off now".

Naxx is still not viable for a full group of freshly dinged 80s in blues without some help from the better geared people.

Very true.
We do need more to help out with this.
I am going to try myself and squeeze in more days in which I can help out as well.(There has been a few raids I haven't been able to make it. Sorry about that.)
Hopefully we will pretty soon have at least one more Ulduar ready tank among others.

First off, I know I'm not a level 80 yet, but I already have good experience.

Oh, and congratulations Glenn. =P Have fun with... Mrs Glenn? 0.o

Of course, it is exams time at the moment, which makes a big problem for a lot of us, but this should ease up after the next 3 weeks.

Also, the gearing up with Naxx from my point of view, doesn't seem to work brilliantly. There are alot of members of the guild who will happily give up their free time so that the lower geared members can gear up, even if they have no need to go and I respect them for that. However, there are members of the guild that, obviously for respectable reasons, do not wish to go, which makes gearing up a problem.

Questions are begged when, for instance, we managed to get a VoA 25 down last Friday, just from having guild members online, yet nobody actually signs up. When Naxx came out, there were 25s run every week. Where have all our raiders gone? xD

It would definitely be cool to get two 10 man Ulduars, or a 25 man going, but in the current state, we need more raiding members. Perhaps a recruitment drive for new or experienced raiders is in order?

Of course, I realise that I'm talking as somebody who hasn't dinged 80 yet, but I still believe my points to be valid.

Also, I understand that some of what I've just written could be interpreted as criticising, which is not intentional.
