Just a query out of interest, or plain old noseyness if you will. What is it (2.1, 5.1 etc.) and how is it layed out? Heres mine:

Mine :) Thanks to bob for showing me how cool they are! 5.1 surround sound and people around me and still hear themselves :)

Depends where I am...

On my main PC, I'm in a simple 2.0 speaker configuration, one either side of the monitor... or basic stereo headphones.

On my laptop, usually just the stereo headphones.

In front of the X360 & PS2, when the laptop is wired up to the external Soundblaster, I get 5.1 surround (which, honestly, is just upmixed from stereo as I don't have any optical connectors) and that's patterned with 2 either side of the widescreen monitor (TV replacement), one center directly underneath the monitor, subwoofer to the left of the centre speaker (and therefore also under the monitor) and back left/right spread out high a good three metres back and out from the front speakers; they're more "left-right" than "back"...

You can tell where I choose to listen to music, can't you? :)

I have a 5.1 speaker setup, although i use 3.1 at the pc, with the other 2 as 'Stereo' for music when in bed,

also have a stereo headset which has only got TS running through them

Stereo headphones (Sony MDR-XD100 If that means anything to you), and some crappy 2.0 speakers if there's more than 1 person needing to hear stuff, or I just want to piss my brother off with loud music :).

Dude, I count FOUR keyboards (that just SCREAMS linux user to me normally...)

I personally have a very nice and comfy Point of View 5.1 surround sound headset (but of a different make to elD/bob's) and a little set of 2 desktop speakers that are connected to my PC via a VGA box (same as the monitor) so that I can play my ps2 on my monitor.

When at home (so that's another 4 weeks and 6 days away then) I use a 5.1 speaker setup from my Audigy 4, which I adore. I'm not in the continent at the moment so I can't take a picture, and I can't be arsed drawing, so here's my ASCII representation (which I am rather proud of):

Code:

I used to have them Fury. Unfortunately, the sockets were on the bottom of the computer, which is on the floor, so the leads eventually broke from being run over by the chair too much. I blamed my sister and got a new speaker and I use my amp headphones, which are rather chunky :)

This is the 2nd pair ive been through :D Tend to forget i am wearing them stand up and get dragged back. Speakers can be annoying for other people when you are on teamspeak I find. At least with headphones no one hears the dead throws of your opponents.

I swear on my life I use only headfones when im on teamspeak mostly because I dont want my flat mate to hear you crazy people, but people still accuse me of having my speakers on! ITS NOT ME I TELL YOU
