Worlds best comedians

If you believe that any stand up comedian gets on stage to do even a 5 minute session without a script then I'm afraid you're being rather naieve!

Everything is scripted, rehearsed and practiced for a very long period of time. The best comedians are the ones who make it feel as though it's completely spontaneous. The best of them being Eddie Izzard.

Well I think thats only half true. I think because billy Connelly has been around for so long, he has so much material, and so he can choose at random what material he wishes to use (on the stage) so therefore I don't think his stuff is scripted.

Modern, bizzare, animated, energetic, left wing and multi-lingual (the bastard). He tells great stories about nothing in particular. His link backs are astounding. Some dodgy impersonations of God at times but Jeezy Creezy is genius.

If I didn't know who you were talking refering to, I would have suggested It was Billy Connelly. I think these are by far his best qualities as a commedian, and I would have to say that I think he does it better than Eddie Izzard

I also think probably the best way to gauge a commedians true potential is on chat shows like Parkinson etc. And as Im sure you have seen Billy Connelly is absoloutely hillarious on Parkinson .

However I have to admit there have been some other cracking commedians that have came on Parkinson and have also had me Rolling on the floor, like Eddie and Ben Elton etc.

I think Billy Connely is so good to me and probably the rest of the Scottish section of THN is because we can relate to a lot of the things he talks about to do with Glasgow etc. Like Drunk guys at 2 o'clock in the morning staggering about George square asking everybody if there "awright" xD.

What about Jeremy Clarkson? Not a stand-up I know, but hes hilarious on Top Gear and he's now hosting Never Mind The Buzzcocks, so it's gonna be a cracker! Maybe even better than Havi I Got News For You!

I dunno there are a few good ones out there but only one truley world class comedian. Mr Lee Evans is a legend, even better if you have seen him live, just ask thatcouple (i.e thatbloke and thabird) as we all saw him together in portsmouth
