Your favourite games creators?

Is it me or is bf2 and every other made by ea or dice extremely poorly optimized. I mean look at valve. HL2 has pretty much exactly the same graphical quality as bf2 if not better and the minimum requirements are 256 ram. Would it not be smarter to relase the game a little later and spend more time on optimisation? They must lose thousands of customers through their inability to master the recipe for the perfectly optimised game. Nearly all the other developers have.

Now back to topic, I love valve and polyphony has created some truly phenomenal games but easily my favorite has to be rockstar. Everything they make just blows my mind (except Manhunt which blows the AI's minds and heads and bodily organs as well

hehehehe nice post there Decky... I agree with you, especially with bf2!

Recently put a radeon X1600Pro with 512MB of ram into my system.

I can play bf2142 easily on the default "high" graphics setting.

I cannot do this with bf2!

I have to play it on medium... NOT GOOD!

I'm hoping some kind of patch comes out for bf2 that addresses some of these issues but i guess that's wishful thinking...
