WOO! more fail.

Before my game against Phil, I had 130K.

After the game, it told me I won 50K.

I just checked my team, I now have 210K.

EXTRA MONIES! :D

Also rolled a double on my skillup for a snotling... he now has the Kick Off Return skill, which I think will be handy :) (I decided against giving him Block...)

Oh, and I now have a full roster. That's 6 ogres and 10 snotlings. Also all 4 of my injured snotlings from the last game had no lasting injuries so are actually OK for their next game...

Wow, a 6 Ogre lineup is quite scary. I'm glad i'm not in your division, although my Halflings would like the chance to be able to go up against someone weaker than them!

Well, Trax and I had a rematch of league 2's semi final.

End result, 2-0 and a healthy dose of revenge to the coffin dodgers. The first half was quite tight, as I felt the result of trax's skill edge, having played 7 more games than my team (and not had a level 3 ghoul and a level 2 ghoul die in back to back previous matches). I wanted to try and get the ball to the new ghouls in an attempt to get some protective skills on them.

Trax won the coin toss and opted to receive. I arranged the Coffin Dodgers to cover the pitch. I was fairly happy throughout this game to see that trax elected to leave players on the within frenzy crowd pushing distance for my werewolves. Not sure why he did this, but with the amount of guard on my team, it was fairly easy to do, and this began to tell, as the main reason I won this game was winning the numbers game against trax on the pitch. Trax went to try and score quickly, but ended up dropping the ball near his right sideline, which I recovered by my turn 3, and managed to surround with a few players in an impromptu (and inefficient) cage. Because I was near the sideline, more of trax's players were needed there to try and hold my running game in check. Eventually after some pushing and to and froing I managed to get 2 of trax's players off the pitch and score, causing a serious concussion to a lineman and breaking the neck of one of trax's disgusting catchers (though unfortunately, this was apothecaried over into a badly hurt spring up). At the start of the second half, trax was down a couple of players, and I used this, and my guard edge to my advantage, attempting to score with the same ghoul as previously to skill him up. Trax made a valient effort to stop this, even knocking the ball loose at one point, but I just had such a player edge at this point (having caused another injury, this time a broken ankle on a lineman and a couple more knockouts) that there wasn't anything trax could really do. Ghoul leveled up, and so did a flesh golum, getting block as his second skill. Trax now only had 6 players on the pitch, and I rapidly tried to close in and score a third in the waning seconds, but the totally unskilled ghoul in range of the endzone fumbled the handoff reception, and th game ended 2-0, with a fair whack knocked off trax's TV.

With 6 Ogres I guess you have a high tv, so hopefully I can afford to induce Deeproot Strongbranch. Even an Ogre would have to think twice before trying to take on him!

And lastly, Halflings aren’t for eating. I have instructed the team to embroider “Warning – do not eat” on their jerseys so that no other teams make such a mistake. My teams union made me do it as they consider it an OH&S issue.

Huung and I had a brutal game. Early on the elves did what they do and by turn 4 the babes were looking at a 2-0 deficit with all the rolls going the elves way. Turn 5 it started going the Amazons way and the rolls started to come. With the Rolls came the injuries. By half time several Elves were injured and the amazons had managed to get one score back.

Going into the second half the Amazons had the numbers game and the second half was dictated by them. With the exception of a war dancer breaking with the ball to slow the Amazons down the second half was all boobs. For the last few turns there were only a handful of elves and the treeman remaining and at one point just the treeman was left on the pitch.

A good spread of SPP for the amazons meant that going into next week bobrek has a full team of 10 lvl2 and one lvl3 players with a couple spare gagging to get some levels under their belts.

Hopefully a similar number of injuries can be inflicted on the filthy Traxhaxing elves :D.

LOL yeah just came back to the thread as I realised I'd not put in a final score.

The Zons came back strong and scored twice more in the second half to finish 3-2 to the babes. I came into this Div thinking I'd be happy to get to the end with 2 points. Actually getting a win I can die to the Necros a happy bob.

Have processed the bye week games, so all those facing a punching bag (that isn't trax's team) have a bunch of SPP and skill ups.

Games still to be played are:

D2:

Fist vs Kasatka
Basildon Bowl
Narly Bird vs Xarlaxas.

No pressure guys, still another week left, though the sooner we finish this, the quicker we can roll over, and have a longer period for the next week. Just keeping you informed.

Xarlaxas and I have our match scheduled for Monday at 13GMT. Im hoping that his lack of tackle will keep my Halflings alive, but with all that dodge my treemen might find it hard to connect with their hits. :(

We can't play before Monday because my Halfling Master Chef needs time to prepare his delicious stew. It needs just the right amount of secret herbs and spices... ;)

The Blackfist's went into the match against the Chaos apprehensive after the mincing they took last season.

It started well for the Fists, electing to receive, the picked up kick and powered up the side for a touchdown in turn 3. The elves then failed the kick and the Chaos took the ball down the pitch almost unopposed due to a slip up by the elves, taking the ball in to level the score in turn 6. The fists took the initiative and one of the trusty linesmen caught the kick off. They then powered up the field leaving themselves in position to score in the final turn of the half. that turn came, and the lure of putting the hurt on the Minotaur and a failed roll dashed hopes of the fists going in to the 2nd half in the lead.

The second half started and things started to get bloody... The Fists kick off, fumbling it again. the ball gets passed to the Minotaur and the long scrimmage line gets to work. the knock down the first elf, KO the 2nd and with 2 attacks on the 3rd loaner they kill him dead with double 12s.
The Minotaur then fails 2 Wild Animal rolls in a row, and a beastman gets sent off for a foul as the Fists keep the Chaos in check. Finally the Minotaur makes a move and ends up surrounded by the elves who knock the ball free.
A linesman scoots in and picks up the ball for the Chaos, but can't dodge the 3 waiting elves. He fumbles the ball leaving it wide open for the elven Runner to pick it up and cage himself in the middle of the field. The Chaos knock the elves about a little, knocking a blitzer into the dugout in the process, but the well placed elves mean there is little they can do to touch the ball.
The elves continue to push moving themselves into scoring position, with just 3 turns left in the match. The Chaos start making as many blocks as they can and it pays off with another of the elven linesmen going down dead. the Apothecary is summoned but pronounces him as dead as can be.
The elven runner then makes a beline for the endzone, stopping 2 strides short, he takes the first go for it and passes, waits a second as he decides and takes the 2nd taking the ball in for the score, making it 2-1 to the Fists.
with just 2 turns left the Chaos line up looking to injure or maim as many of the elves as possible, the elves see this and line up defensively. an elven linseman gets Ko'd as the Chaos roll into the elven backline, the elves blocking all the punches thrown at them. in the final turn the Chaos can only make a block and a blitz, the block comes up harmless. One of the linesmen blitzes up at the runner, falls over and KO's himself. The apothecary looks at him and declares he has a broken jaw and will miss the next game. The Fists take the knee for the final turn to take a 2-1 victory, but at some cost.

A very fun game to play, some mistakes made on both sides, with some terrible\great rolls in there too.
Slightly expensive for me as i lost a 3SSP linesman, but otherwisea good game all round and nice to finally win a game :)
