Blood Bowl Off Season 3.2

Just one quick question to the admins,

would it be ok if I signed up my team tomorrow evening/night? I'd really prefer to try and get some playtime with them, before facing off against skilled teams with probably way better coaches then me in Division 2.
And since I have already scheduled back to back games for tonight, I won't be able to do this today and I would therefore play a bit tomorrow after work. If I am holding up the start of the tournament, I would of course apply asap.

Dwarves are fine from the box - you have all the skills you need except possibly block on the runners, and that'll only take two games ;)

Enjoy your inducements instead, and relax. This is supposed to be a non-competitive competition ;)

Indeed. Expect some tough games at times, but there shouldn't be any that aren't fun (those are for people who have to play AGAINST the dwarfs!).

Yeah ok; I'll go ahead and apply with my team soon.
I am looking forward to the competition and will hopefully enjoy it after some not very desirable and fun experiences

Definitely Necro can be very effective. I love zombies, I use them to tie up players and take hits and love them to bits. The Golems are the one positional piece I feel I really can use effectively. Obviously they are quite a unique race in terms of playstyle and I feel I haven't worked that out yet, but long term I can see them being phenomenal.

Finally got round to applying...

Steam: comrade_phil
Cyanide: comrade_phil
Team name: Air On-My-G-String
Race: Wood Elves
TV: 1000

Would have gone with the Lizards of Iguana-Lose, but was very much in a TLDR mood so didn't go as far back to find out that I was able to use them before I applied. Felt it was time for a change anyway...we'll see how well the harp playing elves get on ;)

If either of the dwarf players want any advice I'd like to think I know them pretty well and had some success with them as well. Happy to help if it leads to some dwarf wins. Bung me a pm if you do want any dwarf love.

Why would dwarf players need advice? :S

The only thing to remember is 'put the ball in the end zone'.

are you SURE it's in a different context? :p

You could be right. Instead of just being a nice guy happy to hand out free advice on how to coach a dwarf team, he could instead be a greasy pimp, looking to cash in on people who are after some hot Dwarf action.

Just a little note to Panda. After applying I came up with a theme that I liked much better for my necros, so I checked the league and noticed we aren't full up to start yet.

So I've applied with Brainspotting, who are exactly the same team but with an Irvine Welsh theme which makes me infinitely happier. After all the heroin addict theme really fits nicely with the undead, who are the next best thing to a heroin addict.

They chose not to choose life. They chose something else...

Now looking like a total hypocrite, I've ditched the boring, boring, can score from anywhere, with minimal players elves for something more, well, fun.

Sturm und Drink are here to mess up faces.

5 frenzy players, no-one higher than movement 6, 1 big guy. Only 2 rerolls. It's going to be a messy but wild ride, with turnovers galore. I'm not expecting many players left on the pitch on either side...I've never played with the norse before, so let's see what happens.

I've played them plenty in two CC cups and to be honest, they can be awesome if they want to be. If not, well then they are the perfect mix of frustration/screaming rage and loathing for your players. So the perfect team for someone who is creepily into love-hate relationships with their team :D.
From experience I can say you will probably love your Runners when you get them, because they can be blodgers in no time. Also very good are the Berzerkers, when you get them skilled up and give them Mighty Blow they pack quite a punch and can take your opponent apart.
And your hate will probably be solely reserved for your Ulfwerners, who I can attest from bitter experience, are next to useless in my opinion.
I have no opinion on the Yeethee, since I never had the chance to use him.

However I wish you luck and may you come to your senses, soon
