Apologies all for the delay but finally i can say... The semi finals have started!

Miraculously it seems to have got it right first time with bob vs zooggy, and cheeze vs drae.

Play your matches to decide the finalists that will play next week.

Hey, :)

So you've decided not to go with the extra game between cheeze and drae, then?

Bob, good times for me for the makeup game are Thursday after the raid, around midnight, or Sunday around 4pm.

Cheers,
J.

I don't think it'll make much difference, though on the off chance that I beat Drae and you beat bob, if you think it fair, I'll spend the 80k I got for "winning" the "season". That should put us closer together when it comes down to the final game. Otherwise, I see no reason why the teams can't just stand as is. Inducements are there to bridge that sort of gap anyway.

First semi played and once again another slow dwarf suited pace ended with a dwarf victory.

Zoogy was unlucky to lose both of his catchers to injury in the first half that although the score was only 1-0 at the half led to a second half where he struggled to get a foot hold.

In the first half the dwarves received the ball and went straight into what they do best. On this occasion no foolish hand-offs were attempted and straight away the dwarves made their presence known by knocking out the newly recruited star player for the humans. The next 6 turns or so were focused around the dwarves stomping on the humans resulting in an injury to a catcher that completely changed the face of the game.

The humans got the ball on the 7th turn with no time left to execute. The second half started with an injury to the second catcher leaving the humans at a distinct disadvantage. It forced them to try and play dwarf style football and they struggled. On two occasions I thought they were going to score however the strip ball skill I gave to one of my runners in week one as it looked to be a decent skill for a player in the secondary to have started paying off.

Up until now I've not been able to use this skill as I envisaged, in this game it saved the day. It in short as long as you get at least a push back forces the ball carrier to drop the ball and then forces them if they do attempt to pick it up again to move through a tackle zone. This skill in itself saved the match for the dwarves. By forcing the drop it gave the slower dwarf players a chance to drift back to make the covering plays they needed to.

The player with this skill got the ball back on turn 14 with the dwarves in a strong position on the field with the key human players pinned. As we were at a knock out stage point and Zoogy could see no way to make it back into the game in 2 turns he choose to abandon the game.

Zoogy played hard and was again unlucky to suffer some early injuries. Another dwarf was injured but it looks like he will make a full recovery.

Score on the field at turn 14 1-0, official score after game was abandoned 2-0 to the dwarves.

As requested I've not taken my level ups from this match and have also not used the money made from this match either.

Umm has anyone seen Children of the Damned? Just sent him a pm asking if he wants to continue with the league and get around to playing his game with cheesewhizz. Does anyone know if he does? I'll be forcing the victory to cheese Sunday at 12pm if i havent heard anything before then.

We'll get the final soon enough.

Hoy, :)

He's just posted in the WoW section, so he's definitely out and about. :)

I have replied to said PM (s), and explained my absence/lack of being any use. (Just moving into a new college at the moment, along with other personal reasons, incase you wanted to know)

Me and Cheezewizz will have a game next Monday, due to my unorganised self, and also that Cheezewizz has plans for most evenings this week.

So my apologies to all, I know I've been quite a crux on this league, which I'd like to attribute to general bad timing on certain stuff, although my organisational skills are indeed awful.

Right. Work last night told me I'm working tonight, even though I told them I'm not available. So I've got to go in. I informed Cheese of this last night, here's a copy of what I proposed:

Children Of The Damned said:
Right, problems have arisen. Work has called me in for Monday, because nobody else is there. :/ One of the reasons why I'm now quitting. Erm, basically I can't do tomorrow night until like, half 10 sort of time. And by then I will be completely dead. So I can do the match tomorrow night, but it will be late. I could do it on Tuesday, as long as it's before 1PM, or after 7:30PM.

Really sorry about the trouble I'm causing.

Sorry for the continued uselessness. :/

We're trying to organise a game. Because he's got work and I'm quite tired from LARP, we're not going to play a late game today. While COtD is free tomorrow during the day and in the evening, I am not. I have suggested Wednesday during the day, but then I'm not free in the evening due to Jujitsu. Thursday I am entirely free, as is the case with Friday.

Right, replied, I believe we'll be getting a wednesday game in, unless one of us says otherwise.

Thanks everyone for bearing with my incompetence, next time round I'll hopefully be a lot better organised.
