Completed Playthrough 2 last night (on Brick)

Have to say in some ways it was easier than first playthrough (apart from the arena type quests) - certainly towards the end. Last boss was ridiculous - then again I have a rocket launcher that ripped him to pieces from the inside.

Was Playthrough 2 worth it? I did that last mission in about a minute on playthrough 2 with Soldier, really not finding it hard at all. If it's easier on PT2, I'm really not interested in it =/

In which case, Borderlands lasted me 25 hours, which is better than some games, I guess. So worth the money, I guess...

Most things are harder, just the last fight is easy if you know a couple things and have a certain gun ;)

Bob, did you enjoy the main game, sans add-ons?

Conversely, I've been sort of waiting for this one since I saw the very last boss cut scene... ;)

Yup loved it first play through. Enjoyed the second play through.
Thought the first DLC was ok. Then it got more and more MEH as they made more DLC.

I have the game off-steam but with no DLC, don't really think it's worth me buying it on steam with the DLC seeing as I haven't even played it vanilla. . . .

As some of you surely noticed, Borderlands + all three DLCs are now on Midweek Sale, cutting off 66% of the cost, which is amazing! In the light of all DLCs combined costing 8euros I decided to buy them all, but I have to warn you - Valve hasn't got enough key codes or something and therefore if you purchase the DLCs, you won't be able to play them OR THE ORIGINAL GAME EITHER, until Valve sorts its shit out.

Just a friendly warning :)

P.S.: I once played through the whole game and most of playthrough 2 without any problems, but on this installation (where I had to start over) I seem to be getting headaches and the game is generally dizzying to look at. I've turned the mouse smoothing off and v-sync on (which I believe is what is suggested in such cases), but it didn't help much. If anyone has any experience with this, any insight would be appreciated!

Hoy, :)

Didn't Zoogy have a problem like that with Half-Life 2? How'd he fix it?

I didn't. To this day, I can't play Half-Life 2 without getting a major headache within 15 minutes of playing it... :(

At the time, the suggestion was to mess with the color of the cross-hairs, but that's not an easily accessible option in HL2...

Cheers,
J.
