So for those of you who don't know, DEFCON was released this past Friday. And alot of people are loving it!

elDiablo came round tonight to use my internet connection so he could take part in the final of the beta testers tournament for DEFCON.

Spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why we could not connect to this particular server... could connect to any other server we picked bar the one he could connect to.

So it was postponed!

I went to the Defcon Launch Party as well this last Monday, which was held in the Cabinet War Rooms in London. Very fun! I also got a free foam Darwinia, and 2 copies of the game (one for me and one for the girlfriend, who also attended). A very good night in all!

Will keep you up to date about the game, as I'm sure BiG D will too!

Don't know how much fun it would be if you don't know the guys you're playing it with though, but if enough of us get it I think we could have a blast!

Loving every minute of sweet, sweet Defcon... downloaded it last friday and been playing ever since. Although my boxed copy has yet to show up If I get time, I'll write up a proper review, but in the meantime, head on over to http://everybody-dies.com and get your hands on the demo!

Well, unfortunately I have had to pull out of the Defcon Beta Testers tournament for I could not play at a time which suited everybody else. It's just one of those things.

So can everybody please give their good luck to BiG_D, whom I'm sure will do us THNers proud! Backstab them all to victory BiG_D!

The tagline of the game is "No one wins at nuclear war. But maybe, just maybe, you can lose the least...". Hence. he came 3rd overall

Right, well, there may be something new coming to Defcon. Maybe a little patch. Maybe a little patch that improves the modding features of the game (seeing as Darwinia and Uplink got it, it's no big surprise). And again, a lovely little video on a christmas mod for Defcon!

If anyone has played the actual game, this just makes the game SO weird, it's fun.

Introversion have started a dev-blog. Read about it here. There was a small part of it which reminded me of this post by haven. I shall quote it!

I'd been talking about doing an experiment with our fourth game, announcing it Molyneux style (ie far too early), and running a blog through its entire development. Vicky had the idea of writing about the perils of being gorgeous and blond while working in a geek's world, which we suggested she named Sex in the SimCity.
